    Sixpoint Brewerywww.sixpoint.com, www.instagram.com/sixpoint

Address: 40 Van **** St, Brooklyn, NY 11231

Tap Room Hours: Only open during Saturday releases for now.

How to Get There Via Mass Transit
    • Take the F/G to Smith-9th Street, then either (1) walk over (15 minutes), or (2) take the B61 from the corner of Smith and W 9th
    • Take the free Ikea ferry from Pier 11 in the Financial District
    • Take the subway from Manhattan and hop on the B57. Useful stops are at Court St and Schermerhorn St (for Borough Hall and the 4/5) and Jay St/Willoughby St (for Jay St – MetroTech and the A/C)
Current Tap List: Currently tasters and $5-7 for pints of what's on tap, hopefully @SixpointMikey can give us a preview a few days before the release.

    Growler Fills: None for now.

Can and Bottle Sales: See below for this month’s release. There's a fridge by the bar stocked with beer to go, recent packs include barrel-aged 4 Beans, 3 Beans, Righteous Rye, Meltdown, etc.

    Outside beer: Nada.

Kids and Dogs: OK for now, but not recommended as the space in the courtyard is limited, so it is not an ideal space for either. A few dogs have made appearances.

Swag: https://merch.sixpoint.com/. Items also for sale through the App and in the courtyard on release day.

Local Eats: There will be a food vendor at Sixpoint during the release party, usually empanadas. For before or afterwards, check out: Fort Defiance, Red Hook Lobster Pound, The Good Fork, Hometown Bar-B-Que, Defontes, Grindhaus (opens at 5 PM), Ample Hills Factory and Museum, plus a lot of other places on Van Brunt St near Pioneer.

Nearby Drinking Establishment (20 minute walk): Van Brunt Stillhouse, Rocky Sullivan’s, Sunny’s Bar, Brooklyn Ice House, Seaborne.

App: Required to purchase small-batch releases and/or merch, and doing so will create a QR code that provides access to the courtyard on release day. Find it on the App Store or Google Play.

    December Release
    More info to come.

the no alternate pick-up is pretty fucking annoying as thats what I planned on doing for this release as I could finally hit one..
    @SixpointMikey @SixpointBrewmaster whats going on

What on earth is going on? I mean Williamsburg is certainly more convenient than Red Hook but its odd that we can't see the final pricing.

Shane is out, not sure about the app. Would seem odd to get rid of it right away, but that all depends on if the licensing for it went with Shane or stuck with SP/ABV.

press release made it sound like he was working on the app (or something similar and monetizing it / selling the service to other breweries:

"Meanwhile, Sixpoint founder Welch will depart to “focus exclusively on a host of other craft beer-related businesses, including an innovative app for direct to consumer engagement and e-commerce.”

    Prices updated on the app:
    • Brownstone Renovation: $18 per pack
    • Mimosa Sparkler: $18 per pack
    • Master Blend: $22 per pack
Given the ABV, I assumed Master Blend would be a 4-pack like Horchata Beans, but perhaps they had more liquid for this one and are doing sixers.

Quoting myself because I’m cool like that, but the app was updated to show that Master Blend is coming in 4-packs, not six packs.

Wow. Seems like the one thing Sixpoint was chasing more than anything else with these releases was a little added authenticity/relevancy in NYC's current beer climate. When you're co-owned by a freaking hedge fund and the founder jumps ship that all goes out the window.

Instagram post says they'll be pouring the three release beers plus Apostle, with Aplenflo cans. Will be interesting to see how the release is compared to at the brewery, hope to see some of you at Union Pool.

they had like a stack of bcbs then a vanilla and coffee bw just sitting there on the salad bar. so i grabbed on.

also, master blend is fantastic. lethal 13.8% but drinks so smooth and has no adjuncts. everything a bourbon barrel aged stout should be. it would taste great with some adjuncts though.
