Do they get Sixpoint brewing in Savannah, GA? My in-laws are down there and they will bring me back some goodness if they can find it. Any other recommendations I should try to get?
Yeah, I'm pretty sure they get Sixpoint. It's distro'd to GA atleast. Other local options ( well, local to GA as a whole ), Jekyll Brewing, Orpheus ( draft only right now ), Three Taverns. check out seek a brew and see what is there versus your local options.
Hell Yeah I hope so, I tried using their beer finder and nothing came up in Savannah but they do in Atlanta. I guess its not a big deal if they don't, I'll just have to convince my parents to get me some when they take my lil bro down to school. Thanks for they reply.
I don't think Sixpoint comes outside of Atlanta, or at least I haven't seen it. Not sure who distributes it, but Georgia is a mess of distribution companies so it's not rare for the distributors in Atlanta to only service Atlanta. I'd suggest looking for Cigar City, Westbrook, Lost Abbey, Three Taverns, Jekyll and Monday Night. Specifically, have them pick up a 6 pack of One Claw from Westbrook, but that's personal preference. There's also a growler shop in Savannah if you're looking for draft only options.
Thanks for the info, I live on the border of nc and sc so I cant get most westbrook beers but haven't seen one claw recently or ever that I can think of so i will definitely try for that. Is the CCB distribution good in GA? Seekabrew says its limited. I had Jai Alai for the first time last night that my buddy brought up from Fl canned 8/4 and it was very good, I definitely want some more.
Jai Alai seems to be pretty steady in Atlanta and Macon this year. Savannah Distributing carries them, which means all of Macon's supply is coming through Savannah.
Gentlemen, right now the distribution is limited to the ATL area. Savannah does sound nice one day though...hopefully we'll make it down there at some point in time.
Interesting to know it's only in Atlanta.. Pretty silly that it doesn't make it outside of the area. Distribution in GA is a mess.
