Hoping this isn't poking a hornets nest with a stick, but did this ever happen?

Shane, I would be happy to share my thoughts with the BA community (the same thoughts I had in the e-mails I sent you). Your decision on this matter.

    Cheers!

    Jack

    Hey Jack,

Thanks for respecting the privacy of our correspondence and checking in first before simply posting our email online. You're a pro!

That being said, Sixpoint has a couple of big announcements to make in the upcoming weeks. I'd like to give everyone the information first, and allow everyone to experience the same stuff you had the pleasure of doing so. So let's proceed with that, ok?

    cheers

I'll do a blind tasting. If I start badmouthing you online will you send me a care package?

I've never had a sixpoint can that wasn't on point, but I'll make up some lies and pretend I think I can tell by the taste where it's brewed if it will get me some free beer. ; )

A friendly show down between two brewers. The home brewer accused the the brewery owner of quality issues with beers brewed at facility's other than the original location. The brewery owner threw down and is having the home brewer blind taste their beers from different facilitys.

Two beer nerds enter only one will leave.......

That's not exactly how this went down. There are instances in our company history when knowledgeable and/or honest consumers have come to us with legitimate complaints about the beer, and those moments are critical to demonstrate the proper customer service, and reveal your intentions and values of the company. There also have been some bogus and incredulous claims throughout the years from some consumers as well, and sometimes from the brewery's perspective it is hard to distinguish between the two.

All quality control issues are taken very, very seriously as its imperative that the customer experience is optimal every single time. However, managing this phenomenon is incredibly difficult, as there is a ton of moving parts from the time the beer is born until the time the beer is consumed. Keep in mind the majority of this time the beer is out of our hands, and in the hands of custodians downstream in the supply chain. Even when the source of the problem is not the brewery (it could have been mishandled by a number of people once it left the brewery's hands) - and even when the problem was generated by the consumer - it still does not change the fact that the consumer had a less-than-optimal experience with the beer. Finding the mechanism to ensure the consumer has an optimal experience every time is going to be a lifelong quest, even if its impossible to obtain.

Actually Jack and I already solved this debate. We're going to wait to publicly reveal our conclusions but he was a good sport and remained objective and open-minded during the entire process. It actually is the ultimate pleasure to deal with fans/consumers/beer-lovers who are very knowledgeable about history of beer, beer culture, the brewing process, and how to taste and appreciate beer without being arrogant or acting like a know-it-all. These are some of the people that are really adding value to this community and contributing to these conversations, making it a much more rich, enlightening, and friendly forum to discuss things.

That's awesome I'm honestly curious to see/hear the results and I think its awesome how far brewery's are willing to go in communicating with us on this site off the clock it shows that it really is your passion. You and clown shoes especially have gone above and beyond in this department.

Not to complain but if it wheren't for the fact that a lot of your beers are past their best buy date at my local spots and not refrigerated (in the case of one store) I would prolly go out and buy some Resin right now. I've been craving a fresh one for some time now, obviously not your fault, but all this beer talk is making me thirsty lol.

It's good of you to stand up for your customer. I was just trying to be funny. I didn't mean to imply that Jack was wrong about his assessment or that he was in anyway being disingenuous. If I were to make similar claims, it would be disingenuous. I'm still searching for that mouse in my beer...

    You're a class act.

    Cheers!

I can't wait to see/hear the results. I love the way @Sixpoint interacts with the community, both here and on a certain app. They're not the only brewery their size (or larger) that does this, but there aren't a ton, and that kind of feedback and interaction is super cool.

I aired a complaint about a six point beer here a few years ago. Shane sent me an email and ended up sending me some beer that was fresh and great. Thanks for the homebrew too.

This act of great customer service has made me a Sixpoint customer ever since. Had I not been contacted by Shane and had a great experience I would not have purchased any more Sixpoint product.

At $9 a 4 pack this is a great brewery at a great price. Looking forward to the new six packs at the same price as the four packs.

Keep running your company top notch Shane.

    Thanx

Is this thread still about Seison?

Just tried it on tap the other day. I liked it, but it's definitely not what you'd expect from a Saison; much closer to an IPA. Very bright and hoppy. Quite tasty, overall, but if I'm not sure if I'd reach for it first if I'm in the mood for something hoppy, and I wouldn't reach for it if I'm in the mood for a more traditional Saison.

Now, if I'm in the mood for something in between, kind of like a Belgian IPA (but tastier), then this will definitely hit the spot.
