I would be happy to have you share those thoughts as well, before I am 65

A couple months ago Shane sent me 3 beers of Crisp, Sweet Action and Bengali that were produced at City Brewing (they were actually 12 ounce cans that were destined to be shipped to the UK). I provided some feedback to Shane via e-mail:

    Crisp:

“I had a chance to drink one can of the Crisp. I enjoyed drinking the beer! Some quick feedback:

Appearance: A nice straw color with a fluffy white head.

Aroma: A subtle, pleasant smell of hops (I am guessing Noble hops). Some sweet maltiness in the background?

Flavor: The flavor very much follows the aroma. A pleasant, subtle flavor of hops (I am guessing Noble hops). There was some subtle sweetness from the malt.

Mouthfeel: Pleasant carbonation level with a nice dry finish.

Overall: An enjoyable German Pilsner beer. One observation: I was not able to detect either on the nose or the taste any specific pilsner malt aroma/flavor.”

    Sweet Action:

“I am drinking a can of Sweet Action as I type this message. I have never had this beer before. This beer exudes the quality of ‘drinkability’. It has a very nice balance of sweet maltiness in concert with some nice herbal hop qualities (with just a touch of citrus to my palate).

I know this beer got classified as a Cream Ale on BA, but to me it reminds me of a nice English Golden Ale (despite the fact it is a orangey/amber vs. golden).”

I can’t find any formal response for Bengali but the ‘new’ Bengali tastes significantly different to me than what I remember for the ‘old’ version. This beer had a noticeable dankness to it. I am personally not a fan of dank hops. So, Bengali is a well-made beer but it’s hop profile is not suited to my personal palate.

Thank you. If I recall, the point was for you to see if you tasted any off flavors, due to the concerns you had from Lion Brewery. Were those addressed at all?

Yes, there were no off-flavors in any of these beers.

I recognize that the following statement may be premature but: City Brewing in Memphis, TN appears to be a quality contract brewery. Needless to say but I would not say the same about Lion Brewery.

    Cheers!

    My sincere apologies Shane.:flushed:

You know I have always loved the beers you brewed at your Brooklyn facility. I now love all of your beers regardless of brewing location.

    Cheers to the Sixpoint team!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
