i did like the original one, went through a few sixers of it, but did miss some of the tartness i expect with gose. Very much looking forward to picking up some of the new stuff. this is why sixpoint is a great brewery, the willingness to listen to customers and fix things, isnt something too common but very much appreciated.
will there be any change in packaging to indicate that this is a newer batch? most bottle shops I go to, dont allow you to open packaging to read the dates on cans, so differentiating would be my concern

Look forward to trying 2.0! It's not that the original was bad, just very bland. If it has a little more "pop" in the flavor, it would be great. I like light beers and don't always drink flavor heavy stuff all the time, so I like having lighter go-top options. Will comment once I find one!

I am so glad I dipped into this thread again, otherwise I would have surely walked by this again when I saw it.

I just want to say that I really enjoy having someone like Shane hanging around here we can interact with. If you're a brewer showing up just to defend yourself or refute something it's probably just better to keep moving along.

Is the name Jammer a roller derby reference? Since the Jammer wears the star....?

Shane, with all due respect, you just re-formulated your beer a month after its release based purely on what a some people on a message forum said - and based on your comments, sounds as though you've gone and made something more in line with what others are making.

As a Sixpoint consumer I'd rather see a brewmaster follow his own muse that constantly reediting his recipes to align with the squeakiest wheel on BeerAdvocate.

Did you taste our original Gose? You know, the kettle sour one we made three years ago?

Or did you try our "File under J" series, the second reincarnation of the Gose?

Or our three waves of pilot batches, made from Oct 2014 until February 2015 - each incrementally different than each other?

Or the original Jammer Gose, released April 2015?

I think you get the point here. This beer has evolved and has been tweaked and has been improved and modified going back over three years now. Its not to catering to any squeaky wheels, there is a myriad of influences, and its an evolution that has been a long time comin'

Nope. I tried only the latest, which I felt had its own little space in the Gose world, much like Bengali does for IPA.

The new one does as well. There is nothing else like it on the market, the clarity alone, coupled with the mouthfeel and distinctive aroma puts it in its own class. You will be delighted.
