    Sixpoint Brewerywww.sixpoint.com, www.instagram.com/sixpoint

Address: 40 Van **** St, Brooklyn, NY 11231

Tap Room Hours: Only open during Saturday releases for now.

How to Get There Via Mass Transit
    • Take the F/G to Smith-9th Street, then either (1) walk over (15 minutes), or (2) take the B61 from the corner of Smith and W 9th
    • Take the free Ikea ferry from Pier 11 in the Financial District
    • Take the subway from Manhattan and hop on the B57. Useful stops are at Court St and Schermerhorn St (for Borough Hall and the 4/5) and Jay St/Willoughby St (for Jay St – MetroTech and the A/C)
Current Tap List: @Sixpoint often gives us a heads up the week of the release as to what will be available on tap during the release, but it’s subject to change. Currently tasters and $5-7 for pints of what's on tap.

    Growler Fills: None for now.

Can and Bottle Sales: See below for this month’s release.

    Outside beer: Nada.

Kids and Dogs: OK for now, but not recommended as the space in the courtyard is limited, so it is not an ideal space for either. A few dogs have made appearances.

Swag: https://merch.sixpoint.com/. Items also for sale through the App and in the courtyard on release day.

Local Eats: There will be a food vendor at Sixpoint during the release party, usually empanadas. For before or afterwards, check out: Fort Defiance, Red Hook Lobster Pound, The Good Fork, Hometown Bar-B-Que, Defontes, Grindhaus (opens at 5 PM), Ample Hills Factory and Museum, plus a lot of other places on Van Brunt St near Pioneer.

Nearby Drinking Establishment (20 minute walk): Van Brunt Stillhouse, Rocky Sullivan’s, Sunny’s Bar, Brooklyn Ice House, Seaborne.

App: Required to purchase small-batch releases and/or merch, and doing so will create a QR code that provides access to the courtyard on release day. Find it on the App Store or Google Play.

    October Release
More to come later, and this time I will remember to add a post/ask the mods to update here once the details hit the app.

    Sparkler:
7% Brut IPA w/Citra and Mosaic, $18 per sixer
Raspy Smooth: 4.5% Raspberry Berliner w/Milk Sugar and Vanilla (smoothed out Lil Raspy) $18 per sixer
SHHHH!: 5.8% Hazy Pale Ale w/Idaho 7 and Cashmere $17 per sixer
Wild Raspy: 6.8% barrel-aged Wild Ale with Raspberries

Very excited to see the return of Wild Raspy and all the new beers sound awesome. Raspy Smooth was really nice on tap and I may have to smuggle in some Raspy Sauce to test out how it goes in that one!

I’m confused, I don’t see wild raspy FS on my app. Am I missing something?

Good catch -- I hadn't noticed. A comment on their Instagram post yesterday says it will be added "soon".

Anyone else bought Hootie cans that are actually Hootie-Hoo? Or are all the cans labeled Hootie now? I was thrilled to see this in my local store but thought this was the IPA which i guess is in a blue can?

They renamed Hootie Hoo (originally the pale ale) to Hootie (which was originally the name of the IPA in the blue can). I don't think they plan on doing the blue can IPA again.

THIS IS NOT A DRILL. FULL NETWORK RELEASE, PURE JUICE. Finally, a MELTDOWN that isn’t global. We’re talking about what’s going on in the hop cone—tons of Mosaic and Mandarina hops heated until the solid lupulin sap is diffused into solution. As that liquid sap dissolves it gets more intense, but you can’t even see it happen.
It changes states of matter to change your state of mind. Finally, you reach saturation and haze starts to show. Your eyes aren’t playing tricks on you... that’s seriously pure hop juice oozing out of the can. Enough to melt your face! Meltdown is a part of a rotating IPA series featuring world-class hop strains. OUT NOW!
