Sixpoint Puff

Those taps are running dry. Send more kegs or how about some cans ASAP!

This is an awesome beer. My favorite from you guys. I didn't pick up on a cloudy appearance. But I rate beers on how they taste not look.

 

Still not in the Philly area.

 

This is kinda sittin on shelves over here at the higher end bottle shops I frequent. Too many "ipa whalez" (if you will) to compete with in Los Angeles. I paid about 15 bux for the 4 pack. I haven't tasted it yet but I don't see people passing up ESBC beers (for example)for this, just based on price point alone.

 

IMO very humble opinion, for those interested, if you like Victory Dirtwolf, you will like Puff. Very similar, IMO. And totally amazing! Not hating on Sixpoint for the similarity, by the way. The palate speaks...

 

Two cases showed up at Wegmans in KOP today. If you have any close to you, I advise checking them out.

 

I'll check out the Collegeville one tomorrow, but I won't hold my breath. They sell out quick of the more sought after stuff.

I have to say, at first I didn't quite get the hype over Puff but I've enjoyed each bottle more than the last. I'm really tasting the sweet fruit more than at first. It's well-crafted and very enjoyable.

@Sixpoint the BB date is 90 days after canning? I picked up a 4-pack on the afternoon of May 25th in Greenville and the bottom of the cans say BB August 24th... is that possible?

 

Nice... Yet another beer that shows up in Nashville but not points West, i.e. Memphis, Jackson, etc... I'd rather breweries just say, "We are coming to Nashville" instead of "We are now distributing to Tennessee!"

I just bought a pack yesterday, and I have to say, I think it's my favorite Sixpoint IPA. It's got a hop profile more similar to Hi-Res than Resin, but I like it even better than Hi-Res thanks to the creamier mouthfeel and cloudy appearance.

 

Probably a 90 day once hitting stores. So probably packaged a week or two before you purchased it. Sort of like when Enjoy by does "enjoy within a month" but they give an extra week for distribution.

 

Last night I polished off my second 4-pack, and I think this is evolving nicely--alcohol heat is dissipating, and more creaminess seems to be developing. I liked this well enough last week but the past few cans have been much more approachable, as if some of the harder edges were being sanded off. For what it's worth I felt the same about the Waldos--I thought a week or two after purchase the elements all came together into something beautiful. I'm even more excited now to taste the last two 4-packs this coming week. Sixpoint--almost always on point!

 

Thanks. I picked up a case from one of those places yesterday after using the Sixpoint app, which was accurate.
Now I'm just trying to decide if I like this or Hi-Res more.

 

Great double IPA. Even better than Hi-Res in my opinion. Hope to pick up more.

 

Picked up 4 pack last weekend. Could not compete with local options. Good/Not Great.

 

Puff > Resin > Hi-Res

 

I had this on draft yesterday and enjoyed it very much!

 

Really enjoyed this one on draft. Best I've had from Sixpoint, IMO
