Interesting - this hasn't been my experience. The last time I had Resin, Hi-Res, and Bengali they were all relatively translucent, at least compared to the hazy beers being put out now by many New England breweries. Or are you referring to another beer that I haven't had? Honestly just curious. Plus, you're marketing this beer as "cloudy," which implies that's a differentiating factor from your other beers, no?

did you have any of our draft beers back in 2004, 2005, etc? or when we first released cans over 5 years ago?

the processes evolved and we started to monitor the amount of yeast in suspension along with protein and polyphenol haze in finished beer.... hence the clarity you see nowadays....

PUFF is going to sidestep some of those processes, and also get an extra massive dose of dry-hopping...

Nope, didn't live in NYC back then, but that's interesting to know! Sounds like it should be interesting, I might pick up a can if I see a fresh one and give it a try despite my aversion to most beers with that many IBUs.

@Sixpoint , just out of curiosity, you address every comment in here except the question relating to where Sixpoint beers originate. I've noticed this in other threads as well. Have you responded to this before and I missed it?

Also "pedestrian" ? Lol. When i read that to myself at work, out loud i said pedestrian and started laughing. Everyone stared at me. What does that mean. That's such an arrogant word to use. Its just beer. And its good beer.

What's an extra 4oz, one or two sips?

You could fit more in a cooler having sleek cans and while 4oz short of the favorited pint can, itll still be more oz total once a fridge or cooler is full.

Wisco will absolutely be seeing this next month!

no problem! Once we are 24 years old as a company, brew almost a million barrels of beer and are one of over 200 brands owned by Heineken (multibillion intenternational beverage conglomerate) we'll gladly accept and meet that challenge!

until then, we're an independent American craft brewer who is making continuous improvement and customers are noticing!

thanks for the love from PDX - we'll definitely be sending some there.... if you have not already, get a chance to know @emilyrosepdx !

    have you tried the Sesher?

We're brewing it at a slightly higher ABV and taking it right out of the tank after we drop a specific amount of yeast and sediment out of the beer. It took some experimenting to get it just right..... there is an art to making "consistent hazy" beers...

Instead of just prematurely kegging or canning a beer, you have to look at the amount of yeast cells left in suspension, and you can scientifically measure the level of turbidity by gauging how much light can pass through the beer. We believe customers will appreciate this because they'll get an unfiltered, raw beer but a consistent level of haze AND complete fermentation without any chunks or sediment left behind.

    cheers

we'll be sending a little bit out there!

thanks for calling that out - that actually drew some of the inspiration!

I guess it depends on who your friends are, right?

folks are diggin' the Jammer this year - thanks to all for the feedback for formulation 3.0!

we're working very diligently to get this supply chain shortened.... please give us direct feedback for how it goes with the PUFF... as a matter of fact if you email us now, I can work with our Ops team to preemptively get in front of this...

    that explains it!

we address all comments - just catching up on things now after I had to make breakfast for my daughter ;-)

yes it has been discussed many times, but if you have not seen it, then you should know that this canned offering is made at our alternating proprietorship under the direct supervision of our VP of Brewing & Quality Horace Cunningham, as well as under the supervision of our production brewer Shaun and our full-time operations coordinator Andy.

A man once told us that our beers were the "ultimate pedestrian beer" - meaning you could walk down the street drinking it, and no one would notice! :-)

Yeah, CREAM was dope as hell. Finding 20/20 (not simply 20 people. I get not everyone likes everything) people to pan that beer is unbelievable. It's a cream ale, so I get it's not the sexiest thing out right now, but it was super tasty, easy drinking for 7.2%, and tasted exactly how I imagined it would taste based on the description. Also was packaged in the coolest can I've ever seen. I bought a case.

I'm very much looking forward to this! I like Bengali, Resin, and H-Res, but prefer unfiltered IPAs. So I think you might have just made my favorite Sixpoint IPA!

My $0.02 - Of all the national brands, I think @Sixpoint makes the most consistently awesome beers out there. I will absolutely be picking up some Puff when it hits Delaware.

Excited to try this one! Also still anxiously awaiting 5 Beans...

Don't quite get the Minnesota poster. Fine to express your opinion but who bothers even going to a release thread for breweries their not interested in at all?

Wait....the article said resin is a seasonal release? Do they just have old info or is it seasonal again?

We just presented to our Delaware distribution partners yesterday morning and closed out said presentation with Puff. The entire sales crew was pumped for it...look for it soon! (By tomorrow I can say look for it this month!)
