Useful stops are at Court St and Schermerhorn St (for Borough Hall and the 4/5) and Jay St/Willoughby St (for Jay St – MetroTech and the A/C) Current Tap List: @Sixpoint often gives us a heads up the week of the release as to what will be available on tap during the release, but it’s subject to change. Currently tasters and $5-7 for pints of what's on tap. Growler Fills: None for now. Can and Bottle Sales: See below for this month’s release. Outside beer: Nada. Kids and Dogs: OK for now, but not recommended as the space in the courtyard is limited, so it is not an ideal space for either. A few dogs have made appearances. Swag: https://merch.sixpoint.com/. Items also for sale through the App and in the courtyard on release day. Local Eats: There will be a food vendor at Sixpoint during the release party, usually empanadas. For before or afterwards, check out: Fort Defiance, Red Hook Lobster Pound, The Good Fork, Hometown Bar-B-Que, Defontes, Grindhaus (opens at 5 PM), Ample Hills Factory and Museum, plus a lot of other places on Van Brunt St near Pioneer. Nearby Drinking Establishment (20 minute walk): Van Brunt Stillhouse, Rocky Sullivan’s, Sunny’s Bar, Brooklyn Ice House, Seaborne. App: Required to purchase small-batch releases and/or merch, and doing so will create a QR code that provides access to the courtyard on release day. Find it on the App Store or Google Play. September Release More to come later, just didn't want @rozzom to get mad at me for not starting the monthly thread today.
I need to check with the crew, but I believe we planned on populating the app with the details after the holiday weekend....
really enjoying this last release. brevity might be my favorite. such an easy drinker with a lot of flavor.
I’m far from a sixpoint fanboi, but I snapped up a single of dreamsickle and howler out here on the island. Dreamsickle was straight out of the top drawer. Close my eyes and have a sip and I would have sworn it was from Hudson valley. Enjoying howler very much, as well. Very solid. Keep it up!!!
Does anyone know when the weekend subway work is posted? This release looks tasty enough but it took me just shy of 4hrs round trip last time that it doesn’t feel worth it if it’s going to be a similar shitshow.
Normally it takes me about 1:15 to get to Other Half assuming things aren't too messed up. But that weekend there were no A trains to Brooklyn from Fulton so I had to take an A all the way back to W 4st, switch to the F and then go all the way back downtown. Then on the way back I had to walk to IKEA, wait for the ferry, and walk back to the Oculus.
Ordered a couple 4 packs. Going to do a Sixpoint/Other Half run Saturday so maybe I’ll see some of you BAs there.
We will be at Other Half around 11 to 1 thereabouts and then to Sixpoint for the afternoon. Let us know if that fits in with your schedule, a bunch of us will be there.
Wasn’t sure which one I was hitting up first but maybe OH first around 12 or 1 just for can pickup and then Sixpoint to hang out for about an hour before heading back.
