Slice Beer Co (2021)

OTP Lincoln & Roseville used to have several Slice beers on tap (Spring/Summer 2020). OTP is just starting back up for inside dinning as well. They don't have their full tap board up yet as they are on limited capacity for inside dinning.

Pretty good double release this past weekend.

Infinite Pulp Hazy IPA. Mosaic, Citra and Nectron. Big juice upfront, citrus, tropical. Nectron comes out on finish with some slight diesel, similar a bit to Nelson. Good one.

 

Green Nugget WC IPA. First time in cans on this one, they also bumped up the Mosaic on this batch. 7%. Tropical mango, Blueberry. Some dank on finish. Great clear beer.

 

Standout beer from the last Slice release was actually "THE LAGER". Zac was known at Moonraker for making the occasional Lager, but was much more known for the Haze.

"Mucho Relaxo" Mexican Style Lager. 90 degree day in Norcal....and this is simply great. Some subtle touches on the hops that bring it together. Flaked Maize, Lager Yeast. Just a hint of malt and some caramel comes through. One of the best Lagers I have had in the Sacramento area.

 

Double Hazy IPA as well this release.

"That IPA Show". Collab with 3 Sons. Mosaic, Mosaic Lupomax, Riwaka, and X13459 hops.

Has that Peach and Cantaloupe juice for sure. Smooth.

 

Pretty great WEST Coast clear IPA from SLICE in cans right now.

FAKE GRASS WC IPA. Citra and Strata. Modern West Coast for sure. Honeydew, pine, passion fruit, and 420 dank. Good at a BBQ.

 

SLICE taproom back open today for draft pours and indoor seating. First time since March 2020.

 

Out on the patio at Slice this past weekend.

Original Juice, Natures Holiday and Waui Nugs. All great.



Also Mucho Relaxo Lager. One of the best Mexican Lagers in the area.

 

I may have to go back for more cans of Nature's Holiday WC IPA. Great modern WC with Nelson up front. Some Citra as well. Enigma must have been light. Good combo.

 

SLICE - Dub Trip - Double West Coast IPA. Big Mosaic and Simcoe. Mango, peach, dank... Real good. Final Gravity Roseville now getting some more Slice Kegs....

 

SLICE - Tight Quarters Hazy IPA. One of their better single ipas. Citra and Strata. Brining back the GABF Bronze winner.

 

A new one last week. MEGA CLOUDS Hazy Double IPA. Big hit of Nelson with the Citra and Mosaic. Big Juice. 8.5% pretty well hidden. Solid new offering.

 

@lucius10 were you the one that got the new SLICE glassware???? They had 1 for sale, then a contest for some other custom glassware....

Went with the new Lager since it was over 100 degrees in Norcal with unreal smoky air quality from the Fires... Needed something lighter.

6th Street Lager. Brewed with 100% German Pilsner malt and Hallertau Mittelfrüh hops. I still think the Mucho R is my favorite Lager from Slice, but this is a little lighter and more nuanced.
