Just swung by Slumbrew in Somerville for the very limited release of their first attempt at a NE style IPA. Unbelievably good. The smell knocked me back on my heels. Citrus juice. It tastes like the best juice bomb to come from any of the regions big hitters. Better than most in fact. Can't believe just how good this is. I had a glass at the brewery and I can still, 90 minutes later, taste orange citrus on my tongue. Phenomenal beer. Absolutely wouldn't be out of place being served out of a barn in western MA.

    Description from the brewery:

This quadruple dry-hopped beer sports a blend of Citra, Cascade, Mosaic, Simcoe, Centennial and HBC291 hops and weighs in at 8.8% ABV.S

Are you a member of the Slumbrew ambassador program?

Is this still available at the brewery? I've still never been but have been looking for an excuse to walk over.

Nope. Just someone who happened to swing by today to try their new release. I've been enjoying trying these new NE IPA releases that seem to come every week from a different brewery. This was easily the best out there.

It was only released this morning. They had about 500 4 packs at 11am. When I was there at 1.30 they reckon there was about 350 left. They told me they hope to last the evening. Well worth the walk

No worries lad. Lovely stuff isn't it. And just clean out of nowhere for Slumbrew, with all due respect.

While there earlier they insisted I try the Belgian double with captain crunch cereal. Think it was called Saturday morning or something. It put a huge grin on my face.

Just opened a can of this after drain-pouring half a can of Saturday Morning, which was a failure in my opinion. Super one-dimensional... nothing special about it to warrant its strength and I got nothing of the adjunct ingredient.

My can of Big Kids Table is offensively plastic-y and fake-smelling with artificial-tasting overripe mango-orange juice and way-too-forward ethanol. Nothing like the kind of juicy NE IPA I want. I'm done with Slumbrew canned offerings if this is all they have to offer.

Hopefully this sees some distro sometime soon, still trying to get my hands on Four Seam by Idle Hands too

Redstone had both of these recently...not sure where in MA you are. Four Seam was canned 4/20 and available that night!
