    Ten Sleep, Wyoming! Our family almost got run over the side of a mountain near Ten Sleep on a family vacation when I was a kid. Some idiot with bad brakes tried to pass us, when a car approached, he got back into our lane and slammed into our rear. My Mom was driving and did some fancy steering indeed to keep the car on the road. Never saw her so mad as when she chewed that driver out after he & we stopped.

    Nothing about beer, but I had to tell my story about Ten Sleep.

    Had my brakes replaced at the bottom of Ten Sleep Canyon a while back. Guy running the shop said he sent his four kids to college on tourist break repair. Hadn't realized there was a brewery there...

    Lake Superior Brewing Company at the Dunes Saloon, Grand Marais, Michigan. Population is only 350 people...and decent beer when I was there several years ago...and an awesome view of Lake Superior.

    Pelican Pub & Brewing technically in Pacific City, Oregon but located in Cape Kiwanda which is part of unincorporated Pacific City. The population was 1,027 at the 2000 census.

    Another Barley Brown's Brewpub in Baker City, OR. The population was 9,828 at the2010 census. Right off I-84 in Eastern Oregon a big little city. Right on the Oregon Trail. Award winning brews that are on tap at the brew pub and found on tap in Portland, OR in many locations.

    Walking Man Brewpub in Stevenson, WA. The population was 1,465 at the 2010 census. Some awesome beer is brewed and served there. Often found on tap in Portland, OR. in various locations. Home of the Knuckledragger APA at 100 IBUs.

    Came here to post this one. I'm from Napoleon, the next town north of Holgate and checked out Flatrock when I was home for the holidays. Was really impressed with the beer. I went to high school with Tim, the assistant brewer and bartender there.

    I think to start a beer club, you need some guys (friends) that have the same interests as you when it comes to beer? Not that they all need to drink IPA or whatever, but that they're all interested in trying new beers and testing different brews. I know a local club that meets every third Tuesday of the month. They each bring two or three beers to the meeting, which is held at the local brewery, and they sample each other's beers. So, this leads to discussions, you get to rate new beers and meet people that have a common interest as you do.

    When starting this club, start small, find a good place to meet, and eventually it'll grow because: A.) you're drinking, and sharing good beers B.) most guys will share the awesome news of a beer club with their friends!
