Anybody have any info on this brewery. I just found out about them. I searched the forums and found they are located near The Birch and the brewmaster worked at Lagunitas. Their beer is draft only evidently. Do they intend to bottle? How big is the brewery? I'm very excited about a new brewery in the area. Not a huge fan of the ones we currently have. Any information would be appreciated.
we've talked about it a bit in the local thread. they plan on opening mid-november. they'll have 3 flagship beers (saison, west coast ipa, amber) and some rotating seasonals. not sure if they plan on bottling but they did construct a tasting room that should be quite large. they'll have growler fills available when they open.
Very excited about this brewery. They just had a tapping at Public House that was well received. I'm pretty sure bottling is in the future, but growlers will do in the meantime. Since the owner is named Porter Hardy, I'm sure a namesake beer is forthcoming.

A big fan of saisons myself...hope it's good! Excited to try their beers. There's some more info on their FB page.
Birch Bar had $2 tulips of Alter Ego today. Not sure if that will be extended past today or not. Also, the latest edition of Veer magazine mentions other new breweries coming to the area. "Locally, O’Connor Brewing Company (Norfolk), Williamsburg Alewerks, St. George Brewing Company (Hampton), Beach Brewing Company (Virginia Beach) and Brass Cannon Brewing (Toano) have been experiencing rapid growth and demand this year. They’ll soon be joined by Young Veterans Brewing Company (Norfolk) and Two Fathers Brewing Company (Virginia Beach/Chesapeake). Count the talents and inspirational leadership of brewmaster Allen Young and the Gordon Biersch brewpub in Virginia Beach and the list is something to cheer about."
Old article but at the end it talks about the head brewer a bit. http://www.altdaily.com/features/fo...tmouth-brewery-set-to-open-in-west-ghent.html
