Michael and I won't be able to make the 19th; we're participating in an Allagash beer dinner in Arlington, MA that evening. Congrats on your new place, Brian!

Prodigal Brewer's kickstarter campaign status update:

Ok. we had beer and dinner with Chris and Emily last night and they're both in for $10 each. So we're up to $60 and 6 participants for the tour.

Gary, are you and Des in?

Sorry Brian, completely forgot you said you'd host. 19th works for me!

Great! Ok, we're at $80 towards our $100 donation to the Prodigal Brewer's Kickstarter Campaign. 2 spots left...

I just have to observe that this brewery tour this summer has the potential to be an epic SMBDC field trip, and knowing the participants there will be plenty of amazing beer involved in whatever ends up going down that day.

Thanks for offering to host Brian. The 19th works for me but Merc is working that day so if she makes an appearance it will be later in the evening.

I'll need the address and will bring some food along with some obliquely vague beer in anonymous brown paper bags. Psyched for the chance to embarrass myself at a blind beer tasting - I've only done this with scotch before which has proven I'm delusional and easily influenced by other's opinions. In other words, lots of fun!

Brez and I chatted about the blind beer tasting when he was going to offer to host, I think some good fun could be had. Maybe someone will bring some Black Xantus....

FYI - I got an email from Paul Davis yesterday sincerely thanking the SMBDC for our generous support to his Kickstarter campaign, and looking forward to hosting us on a tour of his farm/brewery this summer. Let's keep our fingers crossed he makes his goal in the next 4 days - it's looking good!

    Dear Gang at SMBDC,
Thank you so much not only for your financial support but your encouragement to me personally. We hope to have the brewhouse installed by the end of the month and then we'll know what our schedule looks like over the summer. I'm really looking forward to having you out for a picnic on the farm and sharing a libation or two. It's truly inspiring to see people come out and support a small family venture like ours and we look forward to being a source of pride to New England brewing for quite some time. Thanks again and here's a raised pint to you.
    Cheers,

Congratulations on your successful fundraising campaign Paul! We're excited for the opportunity to visit later this summer / fall to tour your expanded brewery and to spend some time with you that day. We're very pleased we were able to chip in to help you meet you funding goal and make this expansion possible. Have a terrific summer and we'll catch you on the other side. Maybe we'll see some of your beer in Maine in the near future? I'd love to find it on draft in the Portland area in 2012 and think you'll find a warm welcome here at our local watering holes.

    Cheers!

In case he doesn't see your post, BM deltatauhobbit (he's hosting this month, 5/19)? Otherwise, just follow this thread for future tastings? Definitely welcome!

As Brez has said, there is a tasting this month on the 19th and anyone is welcome. This month it's in Brunswick. FYI, the tastings don't usually get much farther north than this since you're traveling from Augusta. The event posting link is a few replies up but this month is mystery bag surprise, bag up the beer so people don't know what's being poured.

Damn, I cant make this one. I work every other weekend... maybe next. I do like the idea of the mystery bag pours though.
