Beverage Warehouse in Culver City had some but it was going fast. Might wanna check with Whole Foods, a little overpriced but worth it.

Lots in sac. What is the deal with hoppy Imp Stouts? Is this a trend? The 2011 Abyss was much hoppier than prior years. Anyone else noticing this?

Saw it at Capitol Beer and Taproom (purchased the last of it) and Total Wine Arden still had a couple loose bottles. The whole hoppiness thing is tripping me out. Is this the new flavor of imperial stouts?

I work at a Bevmo and our store hasn't received any yet, we are lagging. We just got Celebration Ale today.
Hopefully next week I'll get some in so I don't have to travel out of town.

I've seen it everywhere in Orange County. Total Wine, Bevmo, Random liquor stores...

Didn't see any at TW Arden last weekend. But did find some Hop Shortage. That was pretty good.I'm never quite sure where to look at TW even though they sort by style.IPA are with IPA but then most what I drink ends up being DIPA or IIPA and then they have a section with special/seasonal release.

Well, gents and girls, I've got a raging broner for this beer. Bitter dark roasted coffee and dark chocolate? If they threw this in bourbon barrels, I would pass out. Another stellar SN brew at killer price point.

I just had my second bottle of it again this evening, and I'm going to throw in another "meh". For whatever reason, it just doesn't work for me. Don't get me wrong - it's a decent beer - but it does not pass my Old Rasputin / Green Flash Double Stout test.

What temp did you drink it at? It really does it for me at around 60f. Old raspy and double stout are righteous but I think Narwhal is in another category tipping the scales at over 10%. Imo, this one is better than fis

Anywhere from 40 degrees to 60 degrees.

I've long thought that RISs are a personal thing - so many flavors going on that everybody's palate handles them differently.

they have the loose bottle section by style but then they have the four/six pack section for the non seasonal releases alphabetically by brewery name. Sometimes you have to check the end caps as well and it never hurts to ask.

but yeah, finding stuff is sometimes a pain.

Just ask someone at the front if they have it in stock. If it's not busy they will help you look for it. They usually have very accurate info in their computers as to what is in stock.

GF Double Stout is up there as one of my favorite beers that isn't a specialty brew. Love that stuff.
