The answer is YES, if you like hoppy beers.

They've actually been killing it in the mixed 12-pack game. $14 in NH!

I love local beers, but if they're going to keep charging (and I know it's the stores fault, too) $8 for a 22 oz. and $12 for a 6-pack, I'll keep buying the SN mixed cases.

Also, celebration for $14 12-packs. I just wasn't in a hoppy beer mood this weekend. I hope I don't regret not buying one!

I agree and we really get screwed in this part of the country when it comes to beer prices and in reading the prices some people get to pay, it's depressing. :slight_frown:

I saw that, too. The Harris Teeter grocery stores around Charleston have the SN 12-packs on sale for $12.99 this week through Tuesday (Snow Pack, Celebration, SNPA, etc.). Walmart has Celebration for $12.77 right now.

Picked up a Snowpack today. Loving the coffee stout and boomerang so far. And yes it does blow away the Sam Adams winter variety one this year.

It's colored by really liking the two new beers a lot but compared to what many other "good craft" mixed 12s go for ($16-25) I think this is a great deal at $13. I'd have been perfectly happy if I'd paid $15. The store where I bought it said they'd been selling a ton of them.

Great value on great beer!!! Sierra Nevada is crushing it lately and my beer fridge can barely handle it all. But, the Bastard box is the best deal ever though.

I absolutely loved the snow pack, but in my opinion, The Big Show by Great Divide takes the cake as far as value. $24 dollars for 3x Hercules, 3x Yeti, 3x Claymore, 3x Showdown Rye. It's all about opinion and the Sierra pack was great but my vote goes to The Big Show.

Also it was brought to my attention that they have changed the lineup of this pack several times but this is the one that I purchased.

I read my 2004 Celebration review and was shocked to see that I complained the beer was 10.99 a sixer (which was exorbitant back then). I just bought a 12 pack for 14 bucks. Meaning, Celebration is literally the only beer to have gone down in price in the last decade.

Excellent deal. Coffee stout is outstanding and Boomerang is good as well. The other two are staples for me and round out a great mixed 12 pk.

I really liked the Coffee Stout, was reminded of just how outstanding their porter was, but did not enjoy the Boomerang very much at all. Had a soapy flavor and the hops were very unlively. Yes, it was a deal I couldn't pass up at $12.99 but it basically just translated to me and my girlfriend drinking the dark beers and pawning off the pale beers onto guests.

Oscar the grouch here to chime in and I have to say that none of the beers in the winter pack are appealing to me, with the possible exception of the coffee stout. Also I don't understand this idea of 'the best deal'. The best deal for what? To get drunk for yor money? The best deal to keep for refridgerator full of incedibly average beer. Considering that I'm only partially interested in having one out of the twelve beers it actually adds up to a very bad deal for my money. Go ahead and stone me but its just a different viewpoint is all.

No, not the best deal ever, the Stone mixed 12 is actually a better 'deal'.

While I liked the Boomerang IPA, the PA and Porter are year round and probably wouldn't have picked them up outside of the mixed 12 with Celebration on the shelf. Also, I didn't care much for the Coffee Stout, I taste too much alcohol in it, tastes like a 9+% ABV beer to me.

I wonder why a new mix-pack that is intended for winter time consumption (i.e., Snowpack) would have beers in it that are already 2 months old now (November)? Do you know where your beers were bottled (Chico, CA vs. Mills River, NC)? Maybe @sierranevadabill knows what is going on here?

    Cheers!
