So I just saw on SF Beer Week schedule that the Sierra Nevada Torpedo Room, in Berkeley, will be releasing their Barrel Aged Coffee Maple Stout this Saturday. Anybody know more info about this event? Has anybody had this beer before?
Haven't had that beer. Also, I don't see that event on the list, but there is the big tap takeover at Beer Rev that day which states: 58+ Specialty Brews from Sierra Nevada including rare one off`s created for the day!!!
Holy $hit! Where do you start and is there a hotel close by???? Walking distance or staggering distance....whew!
BART stops about 8 blocks away. And the Trappist is on the walk (having a barrel-aged event the same day). Goodbye money and brain cells
Buddy asked at the tap room last night. Bottle release only, wont have it on tap, 1 bottle per person limit and will cost in the $20 range. Exact cost wasn't set yet.
Had both Barrel Aged Narwhal and Barrel Aged Maple Stout up in Chico this August at The Handle Bar, Sierra Nevada tap takeover. The Barrel Aged Narwhal was amazing, whereas the Maple Stout was good, but not knock your socks off. If they are charging $20 for the Maple, I'd probably pass. Hope they bottle Barrel Aged Narwhal though, thats worth it.
Any bottles still left? I'm in Berkeley for Sour Sunday and figured I might stop by but it's a bot of a taxi ride for just house SN and Beer Camp beers.
