That's a really great list, i've been wanting to try BA Sump for awhile now.

Is Yards Park bigger than Union Market? Last year sounded like it was too crowded.

Really depends. Yards Park as a whole is larger than Union Market; but past events have only used portions of the space. Regardless, Yards Park is definitely preferable over the Union Market location last year.

I'm just not at all fond of the name.

Picked up my tickets the other day. I'll be driving up from Harrisonburg.

We're signed up to volunteer again this year, but it's for the whole day instead of half the festival so we're still debating.

I promise not to drink all the Parabajava again this year if we get the FW taps :sunglasses:

Picked up the VIP tickets for the wife and I... excited to say the least.

How has it been set up in years past? Separate lines for each beer? Alphabetical order by brewery?

Beer list sounds awesome, but I can see that turning into a really expensive day. They say most full pours are 5-9 tickets and tasters are 3-6. Can anyone confirm this is accurate? I can imagine getting there and everything I want is 10 tickets or more.

The poor or thrifty go to pay by the pour beer festivals? I'd think they'd buy the cheapest six packs at stores they could find...

There are all you can sample beer fests in DC..though if you want rarer stuff, the price is higher.

Of course the price is higher, but this seems like it would cost even more than a session at Chuchkey. I'm not complaining about the price though, just asking if anyone can confirm that the advertised price estimates are accurate or not.

Big tents with a bunch of breweries at each one. I'm not sure there was any rhyme or reason where they each were setup.

I think the 2-4 tickets/taste, 5+ for full pour is accurate.

Anyone know about a VIP/Goliath ticket available? My wife and I are coming up from Austin. Was able to secure one... but still need one. I've posted in the ISO: Tickets forum but thought I'd check here as well. Happy to bring something from Jester King as a thank you.

    Cheers,
    Lee

Still looking for 1 Goliath ticket. I've posted on ISO: Beer Tickets as well as the DC area Craigslist. A bottle of Tangerine-Clementine Provenance to anyone who can help me scrounge one up. I don't think my wife will be too happy if I leave her for 1.5 hours and drink great beer while she's waiting for GA. :-)

    Cheers!

Does GA typically sell out for Snallygaster? Thinking as a backup I should buy a GA ticket in case I can't get a Goliath. Can anyone who's attended this event before give me some insights on whether this typically sells out?

And, looks like I need to up my offer. Instead of Provenance, I'll give you either an Atrial or Nocturn if you can help me get a Goliath ticket!

    Cheers,
    Lee

Expensive indeed. Last year, armed with the knowledge that the ticket lines the year prior were 3x longer than the beer lines, I decided to get ALL of my tickets in advance. Myself, my wife, and a friend split 275 tickets between us and we ran out with about 15 minutes left before the fest ended. Luckily, some volunteers were over-worked and under-fed and traded beer for pretzels.
