I've now been on this site (and subscribe to the mag) for several years and have lurked (for the most part), staying quiet on a lot of chit. What I've come to notice (here and in the craft beer world) is that there's a chitload of snobbery going on. While I've NEVER liked Bud, I have friends that do and I don't trash them because, hey, it's just beer--drink what you like. I was a spirits fan before getting to CO in '92 (thanks, Uncle Sugar) and never knew there were soooo many flavors of beer until then. While I love craft beer and pretty much loathe BMC (there are a few I like), I don't diss anyone who likes BMC, etc. Afterall, it IS just beer so who really gives a flying f what people like/drink. If you happen to love Bud, great. Just don't expect me to join you for one (I've NEVER liked Bud). I see far too many "young 'ens" who think they know it all ( I even traded with some twenty-somethings that thought that if you don't like IPAS, then you can't like beer). It's BEER; I believe that's there's a flavor/style for just about everyone and if it just happens to be American Adjunct Lager, so be it. It's not the end of the world it someone actually likes a Budmilloors. I (still) say, drink what you like and quit bashing people who don't like what you do. (OK, off my pedestal now--let the ranting begin!).
every hobby has hobbyists who are pricks about it. thats just life. some people like awesome music and don't care what you listen to, some people are high and mighty about their "exquisite" taste.
It doesn't matter your age, just that I've seen several threads similar closed this month. Not meaning to offend.
