Snow Weasel or Blot Out the Sun clone

Looking for any ideas (or recipes!) for making a beer like either of Three Floyds' Snow Weasel or Blot Out the Sun. These were a porter and stout that were available this past winter with a terrific hop aroma and flavor, but still clearly a porter and stout. And by contrast, I do not like Goose Island's Night Stalker, so want to avoid anything that tastes like that.
