Nice, going back to the source. How does the draft hold to the bottled?

Bottle > Draft from my tasting notes. But both are still damn good. Probably the single handed best NC sour there is.

Too bad I really don't want a repeat of the shit show that was last year in obtaining bottles, so will more than likely sit this one out and wait for Zebulon to make something superior at a better price.

    They already are.

It is nice that Mike gets to make the sours the way he wants to now.

Anyone know if they're doing another batch of Bootsy? Only one I've not had from them.

    Also:
While I agree for the most part, Maceo is on par and Wicked Weed Framoos Morte Is also if not better.

Had framboos morte this weekend. Still drinking great, and pretty much on the same level as snozz. Fonta Flora has put out a couple that are on the same level as well. Maceo is good for the style, but not everyone likes that style. Bootsy is definitely on that level imho though. Plenty of good sours in NC now.

Wow just looked up Zebulon, wish I had looked for bottles when I was at Beer Study over the weekend. I know they had a lot before.

I think Snozz is incredible, but I do think its reputation benefits a little bit from being the first NC sour that was on that level. When it first came out there was no Wicked Weed, no Fonta Flora, no bunch of other breweries in and around the state making good sours. Maybe Natty Greens was doing some by then, I can't recall. I still have a bottle of batch 1 that I bought off the shelf at a local shop like a week after it had hit distro, ha.

Will be interesting to see how this batch is though and even more interesting to see how subsequent batches are.

It was on right after the blueberry berliner weisse aged in Pino barrels. I got lucky and got back inline to get a second pour of the berliner weisse and it kicked about 2 people in front of me. Because of that I was able to get back in line for 2 pours of snozzberry.

Yea, there is at least one more in existence outside the employee/brewers.

I like how the clear plastic cup really allows for full appreciation of the color.

-Natty Greene's has been souring since at least 2011, because they won best in show at the CCB with a wood aged sour. I specifically remember this because I was at hickory hops when it was announced and I went over to their tent to try what this whole "sour thing" was about, but they didn't have any.
