And there's the bottom line. If the owner is good with it, then it doesn't matter what some beer geeks or low-level employees think. His business, his rules.

"a bunch of employees not happy" More like a guy named andyctree not very happy about it. Don't lie to stir up trouble mister......

I was standing at the Wrist Band table at the exact moment all of the wrist bands were passed out. They had 600 bands accounting for the 600 bottles to be sold. At that point they had given out 517 bands. One of the gentlemen that had went through the line already came up and asked to go through the line again seeing how everyone had already gotten their bottles. He was forthright and said he would understand if this is against the rules. The person in charge as well as the owner said that they would have no problem seeing that everyone was already taken care of with bottles.

There were no people shut out because of line cutting and nobody walked away with ridiculous allotments. They were simply rewarding a few customers with two extra bottles because they waiting in line all night or most of the night.

KUDOS to Green Man for an awesome release!!!!!! Probably the best release that I have ever attended. Everyone that was there and all of the employees seemed to be having a very festive time especially the boy that was throwing frisbees to the crowd and the owner who dressed in costume and rode up on a purple bicycle. I also enjoyed the Snozzberry Slushy, what a great idea to utilize all of the spent fruit remnants leftover from the brewing process.

Not sure what you are quoting.....YOU SAID "I know there were a bunch of employees not very happy about it. I believe some people got called out for it."

If you read my post you will see that your statement is a LIE.

NOBODY went through 3-4 times and NOBODY that got a band and missed out on bottles . PERIOD.

I know what I said, and what I said is the truth. My assumption is that the employees were referencing what this other person witnessed.

I am not sure why are you trying to combine some secondary agenda to what I said.

My only agenda here is to praise a brewery that does a good job with their releases. What bothers me is people who sit around making false assumptions. We all know the saying about assumptions.......

You are the one who seems to have an agenda here...

Did I say one single negative thing about Green Man? I thought it was handled extremely well. I am not sure how the actions of some that have zero affiliation with the brewery should reflect at all on the brewery, and I never once made that correlation.

@andyctree You just sound butt hurt for no reason. Give it up... if the employees wanted bottles they should have asked to have some set aside. You can't reasonably blame the consumer for purchasing what's available to them. Get off your high horse. Nobody cares... especially when nothing wrong occurred.

Just to clarify my reply, if the owner said it was okay with going back in the line then there is absolutely nothing wrong with going back in the line.

I just couldn't bring my self to stand in line 4 hours for 2 bottles. I like it, it is a great sour, probably should have run down around noon, but by then the honey do list got long. If she doesn't see me, the list stays shorter... That may be worth 2 bottles next time. I'm rambling.

I'm with you on this one. It just seems like every time a NC brewery does a release @andyctree has something negative to say about it. If the brewery was ok with it then maybe just allow it to happen. You post nothing but negativity to these forums every single release. Just relax dude, it's only beer.

That being said, I didn't go to the release cause I figured it would require a long wait in line on top of 7+ hours worth of driving. Am I pissed that others who actually did the driving and waited actually got 4 because they got there at 6am and waited 6 hours? No. That was their prerogative and I decided that I had other things that were more pressing. Beer just isn't the priority and whining and complaining all the time will get you no where. That being said, anyone have an extra bottle for trade???

Me and my wife showed up at 12:10pm and had 4 bottles in less than an hour...

The owner was at the front of the line and didn't care if people went through a second time, and there were multiple cases left over after the sale ended.

So when we have the exact same opinion about this but just dealing with different breweries mine is considered negativity, but yours is considered constructive criticism?

Fonta Flora, the only other brewery that I have commented on their releases. But apparently to you I bitch about all of them.

I'm just curious, everyone got bottles, no one got shut out who stood in line, the owner ok'd second runs thru and it's his place, but there's still bitching? I don't get it, entitled much?
