So...a typo. I just mean it's that versus what a couple other people were suggesting about Green Man expecting it to be a higher abv than it turned out to be. I'm no brewer, but I would think the beer's abv would have been measured and established long, long before labels were made which depicted it. And also, to miss your intended abv by a full 3% would be a pretty significant error.

Yep it's just a typo. I think if they had been off by 3% on the ABV the beer would have certainly been very off in the taste and there is no such issue with Snozzberry.

Yeah that's what I was thinking. Glad to hear this batch is tasting great. I heard they had it at Extreme Beer Fest in Boston this past weekend. I don't know if they had it in kegs or were just pouring from bottles, but it made me wonder just a little bit why they would have brought it up there but yet not allowed people to taste it at the taproom on release day.

I was at the release and while I wish I could of had a pour, I'm glad all of those folks in Boston got to try some of the Snozz. It can only help the Green Man name and sour program. With 16 reviews since Saturday and an average score over 4.5, I'd say those folks up there fell in love with our beloved Snozz.

Yeah I mean I wasn't there at the release, so it didn't really affect me. But I think some people who missed out on bottles would have been a lot happier if they would've at least gotten to try it. I'm glad people up in Boston got to try it too, but it's not like Green Man distributes up there. So all those ratings might help Snozzberry's trade value, but I don't personally think they're going to really help the actual brewery that much.

I just thought it was interesting as those two events (the release and EBF) happened really close to each other.

It is all good, I poured a shot of Everclear into the bottle.:stuck_out_tongue:

I opened one and gave it a taste, very nice, very sour. I think on a Sour front it ranks up there with any sours from Cascade or The Buery, but flavor wise, not enough of the Snozz (in my opinion), so it seemed a bit thin to me. Again, not from the sourness of the beer but the flavor aspect. Having said that, it is definitely up there on my favorites list and explains the cray cray line. Very nice offering and can't wait till they have room for barrels and maybe they tap some.

Went into Green Man the next night and talked to two of the brewers as we stood over several barrels of the next Bootsy. With the new expansion, Green Man will have room for more barrels if the powers that be decide to make more, neither said they were THAT decision maker. Time will tell. Also, even with the expansion, they are going to use a 2nd party brewer to help them manufacturer they're "regular" line up of beer, like what Hi-Wire is currently doing.

I was at EBF in Boston, and trust me they didn't bring much. I'm guessing a sixtel, since they poured enough for about 20 minutes a session. I didn't get a pour since I moved on to other things and did not make it back around.

One thing I've found helpful with sours that are highly sour is to let them warm significantly. With Bootsy, for instance, the other flavors really bloom once it's been out of the fridge/bottle for 20-30 minutes. Sipping over that time frame will show how the flavors develop over the course or 20-30 degrees F. YMMV, obviously.

I got a flavor explosion of "Snozzberries." Mine tasted like raspberry and blackberry jam with some sourness to go along with it especially once it warmed up some. Really was one of my top fruited sours that I've had. Far far better than Jester King Nocturn and comparable to Atrial for sure.

What is this jibberish you speak of?

Every time a Snozzberry is traded for an adjunct stout, an angel loses its wings :slight_frown:

Ouch. Hopefully you got some nice extras. Bootsy >>> Huna IMHO.

Whats the story on distribution? I have heard conflicting reports.

Pretty sure there is none left to be distributed. Everything I've heard is this was brewery only and that's it.
