They are releasing a second beer on St. Patty's Day, Green Man and the Chocolate Factory (Chocolate Stout in case you couldn't figure that out)

    Limited bottle count like Snozz.

Boogers. Schnoz Berries. In all seriousness though, I have no idea. I like the mystery aspect though :grinning:

Snozzberry was a relatively unknown beer when it came out then people found out how good it was and now its known. Bootsy was a first time deal so maybe people were a little hesitant but it did sell out at the brewery the day of the release and it did get some limited distribution and I would imagine Snozzberry will see about the same as Bootsy got. Although since it was made before and well received they may have made more of it this time around. Funny I remember being somewhere and seeing a bottle of Snozzberry just sitting around months after it came out, and I about bought it but was running low on funds that day so I passed. Then a few weeks later I was back in the same area, so I thought I would get it and it was gone. We should also consider that not everyone likes sours. But those that do, are obsessed! Someone should do one of those polls and see how many people are drinking them vs. stouts, IPA's, etc?

that should go to show you just how "limited" some of these bottles really are.

Not real sure who you're trying to convince here, but I don't really care how "limited" it is, I just care that it's good as a mofo!

I don't think I saw anyone mention one, but do we know the bottle count on this? I won't be able to make it there for the release, so I'm trying to figure out how much I'd have to offer for a trade.

We are very excited about our bottle release on March 17th. We appreciate everyone's interest in our release. Unfortunately, the batch was smaller than anticipated and we will not be able to take pre-orders of any kind. We appreciate your understanding.

I saw that as well. Does this mean limited distro along the lines of Bootsy?

i'm guessing that their post had something to do with the fact that they had been allowing pre-orders via e-mail. maybe an overwhelming number of people saw an opportunity to avoid waiting in line on a tuesday?

So was anyone able to reserve bottles before the change or did they change the rule for everyone?

They told me that they would "set aside" 2 bottles for me and that I could pick them up on a day later than the release day if I couldn't make it that day. The e-mail exchanges were pretty vague though, and never really specified when I would need to come pick them up by (I was hoping the following weekend was okay) or asked for any identifying information whatsoever (apart from having my e-mail address already). So honestly, I didn't really expect it to actually happen.

Basically I'm taking that facebook post as just meaning that whatever was told to people individually through e-mails, it's not happening. But like I said, it's all good I wasn't really expecting them to actually do it anyway I just figured it was worth a shot if they really would hold them for me until the weekend.

I don't think people are trying to avoid waiting in a line or anything, I just think that like me people are trying to figure out a way that they can get some without taking a day off of work. There weren't any lines for Bootsy from what I've read on here, I wouldn't really expect there to be any for this either. People will just come in and get it throughout the day until it's gone. Could be wrong though.

I think this is pretty much spot on. I emailed a few days ago based on the facebook posts and was told that no bottles could be reserved. It may get a bit nuts up there now that they are turning it into more of a party and bringing back Bootsy but who knows? They are really trying to make me drive up from Atlanta.

Never saw the post but I'm sure they deleted it due to an overwhelming response. I don't see the Bootsy post anymore either
