I'm finding an inordinate amount of brew pubs down here that serve a LOT of foam. I don't think I'm visiting the right places. I come here ( Ontario Ca area) for business every month and am looking for good beer, clean taps ! I'm an DIPA fan. At Cucamonga Brewery right now waiti g for my foam to die down.
Agreed! It'd be worth the 30 minute drive down to TAPS in Corona if I was in the OP's spot. Hopefully others can recommend good places that are closer, I'm just not familiar with that area.
If you go to Taps, across the street is SteamHaus, decent taplist. Then swing through El Cerrito and grab some bottles to bring back to your room.
Are you just talking about brewpubs only? There aren't that many in the area to begin with. Oggie's in Corona (not a fan of their beer), TAPS (best one in the area by FAR), and BJ's..... those are pretty much your best bets. Sadly its somewhat of a good-brewing wasteland right in that general vicinity, especially in terms of "brewpubs." If you can get to Claremont or Redlands, Eureka burger is easily one of the best beer bars in the IE, Heroe's in Claremont is fairly good but can have some stale hoppy beers on every so often.
Thank you.. It just wasn't a great day for me, and when I just wanted to finish off the day with a nice beer, I was dismayed I had to wait even longer because their taps were all messed up.. More of me being a little snarky more so than anything... I apologize to anybody in the area.. Wasn't my intent to bash the area.. Anyways, I love brew pubs because I'm also trying to learn the craft of big batch brewing, and any chance I get to talk with a brewmaster, I soak it up.. But, I have also learned in my travels, I should probably be asking who has the best tap selection.. Thanks for recommending TAPS.. I'll check it out, next time down..
