Blaecorn is great, better than VS IMHO.
I also like their Hoppy Feet 1.5, a great black IPA.
    Muffin Top is good too.

They have a deal with Total Wine and More I believe, it's always in stock here in S.Florida.

We've got 15 Clown Shoes/Brash bomber facings and a Miracle display at the store I work at in Boston. They move pretty well.

That would make sense since that's the only store in Washington selling it.

I had Brown Angel on cask a few weeks back and it was amazing. In the bottle I didn't think too much of it, but my mind was blown after sipping it from a cask.

To me it boils down to the fact that Clown Shoes has potential. Their beers are fairly tasty but definitely not world class. They're a young brewery and time will tell.

I personally don't care for their image but it's not going to stop me from trying their beer.

vampire slayer and chocolate sombrero were both enjoyable dark beers and easy on the pocket book.

I have never had a beer like Brown Angel Double Brown.

Try Tramp Stamp cuz it's pretty good and has an awesome name and label.

I've a had a good amount of Clown Shoes and Vampire Slayer was by far their best brew IMO. I think they started distributing there because of Total Wine. Not 100% though.

I think I've tried almost all of their beers and for a while the only one I didn't think was mediocre was Clementine, which I really like for the style. Then they started making their stout variations and I've been much more impressed. I don't love Blaecorn because I don't love the style but Vampire Slayer is terrific. And the newest three are all excellent. Pimp is interesting and Flight really brings it up a notch. Angry Beast is something special.

Interesting that there is so much positive feedback for their stouts, especially Vampire Slayer. As I stated earlier I haven't been impressed with anything I've had from them in the past, the most recent being Tramp Stamp on tap which I found to be wholly unappealling. Perhaps, I'll have to give Vampire Slayer a try...

I won't lie, I'm not a fan of their branding. But I've enjoyed the majority of their beers that I've tried. Blaecorn was an interesting one for me - I'm not a big fan of the hoppy imperial stout, but I thought that one was well executed for the style.

I don't think you can read too much into distribution patterns. New Glarus sells over 100,000 bbl, all in Wisconsin; Jolly Pumpkin sells something like 3,000 bbl across the country. I'm not saying Clown Shoes is in that league, but there are plenty of viable business models.

Yeah, Clown Shoes is one of Total Wine's core brands, meaning they make a great margin through a major bulk deal. Pikes Peak, Knee Deep, and a few others fall in this category as well.

I was in a Total Wines in DE last month and noticed a huge Clown Shoes display at the head of the beer ailsle - makes sense now re- them being a core brand!

As others have touched on I see Clown Shoes as an average/ok brewery firmly ploughing the middle of the field

I had the chocolate sombrero last month (from total wines) and thought this was a decent enough beer for the cost

A few days later I came across the Blaecorn on tap at TJ's in Paoli .... way too much alcohol flavour on this one for me, not well disguised at all!

I think you're right. Total wine just opened here and that's where I got my bottle. I don't see these bottles anywhere else around here just yet.

I am hearing mixed opinions regarding price. Just how much do Clown Shoes beers cost?
