The only thing memorable about Clown Shoes is their high price tag.

    Sorry to sound mean.

Being from New England, I have been able to try quite a few of their offerings and have only been disappointed by their IPA's (not including Hoppy Feet)
Eagle Claw Fist, Blaecorn, Hoppy Feet, Tramp Stamp and Muffin Top have all been worthy of repeat purchases. I think Eagle Claw is their best offering.

Not sure how much you paid, but it cost me $7.99 for 22oz.... (10% abv).

Yeah I can get some 22oz for 6.99 around here even.
I've found one of the things I like about Clown Shoes is the low price tag.

I saw Sombrero last week for $10. I stayed away. The ones I did buy were the Pecan Pie Porter and the White Ale with Clementines, I can't remember the price but it must have been around $7.

Vampire slayer is good but a little too ashy for me. I do think is Clementine is good.

I've bought a bunch around here and I feel like they were in the $10 range. Clementine really surprised me. Did not expect it to be so good.

Ya'll are getting taxed hard by Total Wines :stuck_out_tongue:

I swung by my local spot, their basic offerings are $4.29.

In Massachusetts? They cost about $1-$2 more than I want to pay per bottle. Having said that, Chocolate Sombrero is well worth it and i urge you all to try it.

I bought Sombrero in Delaware last week for $7.99. Most CS beers run $6.99 to $9.99 in my region

Yeah, Clown Shoes stuff goes for $5 to $8 here in FL. Think Sombrero was $8 here too. Total Wine, of course.

If Clown Shoes is only sold at Total Wine, I don't think I'll be buying any. While I may buy a ton of Sierra Nevada at Safeway and Costco, I buy the rest of my beer exclusively at local beer shops.

Must be those "offensive" labels that are keeping their ratings down.

Guess I'm in the minority cause I've enjoyed almost all of their offerings - Muffin Top, Pimp, Flight of the Pimp, Brown Angel, Vampire Slayer, Blaecorn, Angry Beast, Chocolate Sombrero, Hoppy Feat 1.5. I think they are doing a great job and the prices seem totally reasonable - course I live in Mass so it might be a bit cheaper.

I love the stuff that Clown Shoes puts out; one of my favorite NE breweries. ...and I am proud to say it.

Contract brewing would definitely explain the bipolar reviews...I must be drinking it from a poor contract brewer or its not fresh enough for me to judge

I'd never tried them until I read that article with that ******ed chick getting all offended by the labels. I decided to give them a shot after that and was pleasantly surprised. I find that I consistently review them higher than the consensus but then again I am very local to them. Their newer offerings have been really interesting and unique brews. I think I've reviewed all of them except one or two at this point.

Funnily enough I do enjoy their labels and descriptions. They obviously don't take themselves very seriously.
