Was it just me or was Blacknote way better at Busters vs Bryant Lake Bowl. I had one glass at BLB and was extremely disappointed granted i had their Mac N Cheese half way through my glass . Yeah i was ready to swear off Blacknote and then decided to give it another shot at Busters. It tasted totally different so i ended up getting another glass before leaving. Did anyone else experience this? The waitress told me some other "beer geeks" were in before me and told her "this" is not blacknote which made me paranoid and probably why i gave it another chance at Busters.
When did you have the Blacknote at the Bowl? It did blow yesterday afternoon/evening and switch over to Harry Magill's Spiced Stout and during that switch over, you may have been misinformed by the server, which I apologize for.
Had it both places as well, but didn't share your experience. It was excellent at each establishment, though I think it's a little less hoppy this year, no?
I only had it at BLB, ended up having one for breakfast then returning for another around the dessert hour. Well worth the six bucks a pour. Anybody have the Lavender cask Bubblejack? I couldn't bring myself to taste the 1 oz sample. Fuck that noise.
