So when is Hopslam hitting??

It is in the eccentric cafe and in the general store. 3 case limit, 2 mini keg limit. Mini kegs haven't been delivered yet.

 

I hope they don't run out before I get there tomorrow for Kalamazoo Beer Week.

 

They seem to restock the General Store every day. If you get there earlyish in the day, it'll probably be there.

We didn't pay much attention to cost per ounce. Opening a mini keg tomorrow. We're bottling a couple of homebrews, plus playoff football. Hoping to stay vertical until at least halftime of the Broncos - Steelers game.

 

Just sold out at the general store. They went through 11 pallets.

Is it usually readily available at the general store for an extended period of time after the initial release?

 

I don't think that it was there a week past the release last year.

 

I Remember going out A Saturday later last year and they were sold out for the year.

 

Stupid me thinking I could roll through there this coming Friday and grab some. Oh well, it's not that hard to grab a case or so here as long as you're on top of it.

 

Owner of a popular store in the GR area informed me that he is getting his 25 cases on Monday. He also mentioned that this is way down from the 75 cases he was able to get last year. I don't know if there is less overall this year, or just at this particular store but I thought it was interesting.

 

Seems to be the case every year. My go-to stores always seem to get less than the previous year. Partly because as more stores carry craft you have the same amount of beer spread thinner across more stores. And last year Bells made a deal with Meijer for Meijer stores all to carry Hopslam. So they got a huge chunk of the allocation. Yet I never once saw any at a Meijer store. That's because they sold it so cheap that party stores would come in and buy a ton to resell.

 

I believe it'll be available starting Feb. 1st in Indy.

 

Anyone know if they will be restocking this morning? Was planning on making a trip, but can't invest the 1 and half drive if they are sold out.........

The Meijer in Monroe got 0 Hopslam last year. Fortunately I was able to hit one in Ann Arbor to get my case on a Saturday because my former go to store quit holding stuff for customers.
