So when is Hopslam hitting??

Just to clarify, results may vary with stores having Hopslam on Monday. That'll be the first day it ships, and the distributor was nice enough to send it to us before our normal delivery day. Also, mini kegs will be available, but pretty limited. We're only getting a case, which likely means 2 total.

 

I picked up a case at Barneys in New Buffalo yesterday, and shared a 6 pack with a buddy last night. I thought it was great as usual. Looking forward to more of them, and considering a mini-keg, if I can get the right group of friends together for it.

 

Hopslam tastes the same every year.

 

I've purchased 4 1/2 cases so far.

I saw the empty shelf at the Costco in Auburn Hills had it for like $14.75/6 pack - that's the cheapest I saw it. I paid $16.99 from a few different places for my 6 packs.

 

Just watched a bunch of YouTube reviews on this beer from 2010, and it seems that back then, this beer was #1. Everyone loved it. As far as what's happened in the 5-6 years since, I'm not sure, but that's where the hype comes from. It truly used to be a legend. But with the craft beer boom, there's just SO many other DIPAs that have come out that are just as good, if not better. Does it mean HopSlam is bad? No. It's just the competition has risen. Enjoy it for what it is. I know I'll try to grab at least a bottle this year like I always do.

 

Store by me got a few cases Thursday. It was $14.47 all gone now till this coming Thursday....

 

Anyone know what the status is at the general store? Thinking about making a run tomorrow. I know they have run out a few times, but seems like they have have replenished a few times also...

 

They were out yesterday and were not sure if they were getting anymore. It is on tap at the Eccentric Café.

 

I called the General Store on Thursday and they said they were out and weren't expecting anymore. Not sure if that is accurate, but that's what I was told.

 

I was there on Friday and a full pallat had dropped, and it was flying out the door. I got my homebrew supplies and was happy with that.

Edit - I don't think they were telling you wrong, the brewery drops beer off for them to sell. So they don't always know at the General Store.

 

Yeah, I kinda figured that might be the case. I got my case in New Buffalo anyway, so it was actually easier that way; but if I had known they'd have it on Friday, I would've just gone to the General Store. I've got enough to last me until it hits the Chicago market in a week and a half.

 

Fellow Milwaukeeans: Just picked up two 6-packs from Discount Liquor on 51st and Oklahoma around 1:00. Only one had been taken so far, lots left. I imagine it's in other places in the city now, too.

 

Got some for $14.99 today at kroger, which was nice considering i was paying 19.99 from the beer store.
