Not brewing, bottling. Just bottled a 6% IPA with lots of late addition galaxy, amarillo and citra. Dry hopped with Amarillo and citra. If it tastes half as good at bottling then it will be amazing. I love the fact that it's almost August and I can walk into my local HBS and come home with a half pound of citra, god bless my local HBS.

I just cracked open my first Raspberry wheat I brewed at the end of June. Its simply fantasic! I used 1pound of frozen Raspberrys and it gave it just the right tart and very clean finish.

West coast amber rye in the kettle as we speak. This marks the third weekend in a row as my empty kegs are pissing me off.

It's very good as is, but for me it came out a bit too roasty, but that diminishes after a few weeks. I've backed off on the roasted bill in that recipe. I don't have the numbers in front of me, but it wasn't much.

No brewing for me, but I did wash 7 cornies and replaced all the o-rings, and cleaned out the cooler and took inventory yesterday. Next weekend I'll be ready to start filling those cornies.

No brewing, but this weekend I am working on my latest brewing project: an evaporative cooler for my fermentation cabinet. My goal is to be able to brew ales in the low 60's in the cabinet (which is in my garage) in the summer. If the thing actually works, I'll post pictures.

I cleaned 6 kegs last week, but didn't change any seals. Probably do that the next time.

This weekend I'm brewing a mint-mango saison. It's the Northern Brewer Petite Saison kit with some fresh mango & mint added after the boil.

I cant brew until my Belgian White is ready to bottle, so I can move this week's IPA into the secondary. I'm trying to brew a beer every 8-9 days to stock up for the fall. I'm too buy coaching football to have time to brew in the fall. On deck for next week is a Pale Ale in the style of Manny's (Seattle).

Brewed a Bavarian wheat yesterday. Finished with copious amounts of galaxy hops and a bit orange zest. I will be dry hopping with lots of galaxy before moving onto five pounds of fresh local peaches.

    Cheers all!

Brewed 9 gallons of a modified version of "Janet's Brown" yesterday.

Brewed 90 gallons of a "Cuvee de Tomme" inspired Belgian Quad today with my homebrew club.

The Belgian Quad was racked into roughly 18 fermenters. A couple of strains of Brett were pitched into a few of them. Yeast slurry from a Belgian Pale was pitched into the other 15 fermenters. After a few weeks of fermentation, all the beer will be racked into a giant oak barrel already laced with tons of bugs and some roselare blend slurry from a previous barrel batch will be added. After 6 months in the barrel, sour tart cherry concentrate will be added and the beer will ferment / condition for another 6 months!

I brewed an all Amarillo IPA yesterday. Ramped up the malt bill on it, put a fair share of hops in it, a little Crystal 40 to sweetness it and balance it out. 1.070 OG, turned out perfect, I think!

I almost racked my Summer Blonde over, but left it. The gravity I think is done at 1.011, but I'm gonna let it warm up a bit, and let the yeast finish cleaning up a bit, maybe mid week I'll rack to secondary and cold crash it before kegging it and letting it sit.

Also, kegged my Founder Breakfast Stout that I put on Woodford Reserve barrel chips and Sumatran coffee for a week. Smells heavenly, and sample I pulled off the keg tasted mighty nice despite no carb.

Gonna take next weekend off from brewing and then hit it heavy and do 2 batches back to back I think to have them ready by the end of Sept.
