Hi guys, I have a question about water report my SO4 value is 9, but in the software I’m using formula is SO4 -2 . Do I need to divide 9 by 3 . Or just writ it down like it is? Thank you.
Most water reports say something like "SO4-S" or "SO4 as S" In that case, you should multiply by 3 if your software wants "SO4" On the other hand (though unlikely), if your water report just says "SO4" and your software wants "SO4-S" or "SO4 as S" then you'd divide by 3. If your report just says "SO4" and your software wants "SO4" don't change anything. ETA: "SO4-2" probably refers to a charge of -2. For our purposes, that means the same as "SO4"
Thank you, yes my report says SO4, but brewfather soft wants SO4 -2, so in this case just divide. Cheers.
No, don't divide. If your report says SO4 and software wants SO4 "-2" (not SO4-S), just use the number as is.
