sorry to get back on topic  ... so with Phase 3 going live on Friday, does that mean no more food requirement to drink at breweries?

In San Diego (at least) that is correct.

Green Cheek CM is open for business. I don't mind their food. High quality.

I hate the crowd and noise too. Plus I’m old. So I go before the youngsters get there. Between 11-12 for lunch. FYI, they took away the pastrami sandwich. For now. I checked out the inside and their menu when I stopped in last Sunday for a curbside pickup.

Got an email today from Ballast Point Long Beach. They've opened up for dine-in drinking / eating. Ah - does anyone care? I miss the atmosphere and ambiance more than I do their beer. I do still however like Sculpin and Victory at Sea. Their food was only mediocre, unless you were there in a group, then it didn't matter. Are they now again considered "craft beer" ??

Good news, the meal requirement for bars with an on-site premise license was rescinded.

So far shipping is still an option here in California. :heavymetal:

That was the case before the pandemic. Why would it change?

Because very few breweries did ship and it looks like almost all of the ones who started, are still doing it.

To piggy back on this, were there breweries shipping (besides memberships) before the plague? I never was aware of that

I don’t believe so. Otherwise we all would of been buying online long time ago. Plus all the canning was dedicated to Kegs for distro.

I know Pure Project had just started CA shipping before the pandemic hit. That was the only one I was aware of.

Cellador Ales always shipped in CA. I know because I wasn't a member, and they'd hold stuff for up to 90 days so I'd bundle as much as I could during that window and ship it all together.

Casa Agria always shipped too within CA, but I forget if cans were part of that deal. (They are for members.)

Cascade used to ship but stopped awhile back. But yeah, not many breweries shipped even though they legally could. It'll be interesting to see how many continue it in the long run.
