So a beer concentrate added to soda water. Couldn't be anything but delicious, right? http://www.prnewswire.com/news-releases/sodastream-launches-homemade-beer-system-300276600.html
I will definitely try this seeing as I already have a sodastream. If anyone is wondering I did the google translate of the products on the website. Here they are: The one liter bottle: The refreshingly different way to drink beer! Your benefits: ## seconds freshly prepared ## Just 1 part mix Blondie + 2 parts water ## 1 liter, sufficient for 3 liters Pils ## Does alcohol (4,5% in the finished drink) ## Sales only to persons over 16 years 2.99 Euros --------------------------------------------------------- The Gift Set The ideal gift for those who already own a water bubbler! The gift box contains ## 1 x 1 liter of beer concentrate ## 1 liter sufficient for 3 liters Pils ## Does alcohol (4,5% in the finished drink) ## 2 x 0.2 liters Blondie Beer glasses ## Set in attractive gift packaging ## Sales only to persons over 16 years 9.99 Euros If this is even remotely drinkable, I would call it a small victory. I would have ordered some to try it out, but I have to wait until it can be delivered outside of Germany. All in all, I don't think this is a horrible idea, but it has its limitations. Curious to see how this takes off and/or dies.
I have a hard time thinking of anything made from concentrate is ever good. OK, except for Gatorade powder. And Fun Dip. That stuff was incredible.
