hope its not too late ... there is this awesome brewpub PRI KMETA, which also i think its the only one in the Balkans. about beer selection, there is loads of lagers but if u end up going to a higher lvl of restaurant you can find imported beers like erdinger, schofferhofer, Bernard leffe, chimay and many more well known beers. on the corner shops there is loads of imported lagers that are fairly cheap and from shop to shop the selection varies... when i was in Sofia i remember coming back home with 13 new beers to add to my collection hope i helped you with this post and i strongly recommend PRI KMETA.
