Solidarity! Celebrating Hardcore Craft Beer In Chicago

    This is more than just a one-off event. This is an overall page for craft beer in Chicago. Solidarity! is the recognizing and celebration of all great craft beer in the Windy City.

    Stone Brewing Co. enjoyed some great visits to the Windy City but April 1, 2010 Stone Brewing Co. came to stay in Chicago. It was an incredible launch and a warm welcome to a new home. Marking two fantastic years of Stone being a part of a great craft beer culture in Chicago, we are planning a string of events featuring Greg Koch and our friends in craft brewing for an amazing weekend March 29,30 and 31.

    There will be an event on Saturday, March 31 starting at 11 AM to officially kick off Solidarity! The event will feature over 50 taps between Timothy O'Toole's in Chicago and Timothy O'Toole's in Gurnee. Taps will include a slew of rare Stone taps, Stone core beer lineup, and guest taps from breweries like Great Lakes, Three Floyds, Dogfish Head, and others.     Hmmm... I have my doubts on the hardcore nature of this, but we'll see. I'll keep my optimism high and be prepared to tick some interesting taps.

    Solidarity! is going to be insane! Victory, New Belgium, Dogfish Head, Great Lakes, Half Acre, Two Brothers, and 3 Floyds will all be present to celebrate Stone's 2 year anniversary. So far I've heard Stone will be head lining the event (it is their anniversary party) with 25 drafts at each place and another 20 or so from the other breweries. Saison Du Buff has been mentioned as well as Black Racer. This is going to be a must go to event for any beer lover.

    i don't really see the insanity about stuff we can get all the time in this area... not trying to be mean but i agree with Khaz on this one.. sounds maybe more cash in than hardcore ( kinda like stone.. boosh! ) either way if its good tap beers, for a good price.. can't beat that. cheers!

    Some of the beers available will be Stone Smoked Porter with vanilla bean, Three Floyd's Topless Wych Baltic Porter, Crime, Punishment, as well as a lot more barrel aged and vintage beers.

    Full tap list will be posted soon.

    Tickets are available March 1st.
    $15 Venue Package - One Location - 5 samples, Glass
    $50 Hardcore Package - Both Locations - 10 samples, Glass, Buffet, and charter bus between venues.

    Tickets are limited. Additional sample tickets (5 count) are available at both locations for $12.

    Half Acre is bringing Blame and Double Daisy to the Chicago location and Chocaolate Camaro and Ginger Twin to Gurnee. New Belgium has Abbey Grand Cru in the city, Prickley Passion in Gurnee and both locations are going to have Cocoa Mole. I know the Hardcore package is limited but not sure about the Venue packages.     I remember when Stone first hit the market and there were tons of events all over the city and then Three Floyds and Piece collaborated on a beer called Marketing Ploy. It was sarcastic and delicious! Maybe they'll make it again.

    Marketing Ploy will not be a part of this one, sorry Danimalarkey. The list is growing and is pretty impressive so far. DFH 120 and Burton Baton was just added to the lineup as well.

    Close to 150 tickets have been sold. Not 100% on how many Hardcore packages are available total, but a lot are gone. There are a decent amount of Venue packages, and worth it too. Only 2.5 weeks to go.
