Im at the brewery in Decorah Iowa- the beers are phenomenal and so are the workers! If you have a chance to visit this place you should! The ipa's are some of the best I've had! Excellent service and wonderful beers from the state of Iowa!

I had hoped to go visit them on Friday. Per their twitter, they will have PsuedoSue back, and a dry hopped firkin of it on friday night. Do they fill growlers there? That would be the deciding factor on if I make the trek.

It's an hour and a half drive from Rochester, but have heard real good things about them. I think I tried some of their offerings at one of the beerfest events in Iowa last summer, but that was long enough ago now that it escapes me what it would have been.

Yes, they fill growlers but I'm sometimes they might not fill a certain beer if it's in short supply. email or call them - they have been very responsive in the past.

By the way, Psuedosue is killer. Along with G-Nug and Millinium Falcon!

I had 3 beers from them Satuday night at El Bait Shop- Psuedo Sue, Tsunami, and Naughty 90. The Sue and Tsunami were absolutely wonderful. I cannot say enough good things about them. I enjoyed the 90 but it had too much going on for more that a half pour- that one is more of a one and done type beer.

On another note. I will be in Decorah all weekend this coming week so I plan on going to the brewery on Friday night for sure and hoping I can make it for o a bit on Saturday.

Was this a special event, or does El Bait carry TG now? I didn't see them on the menu when I was there a couple of weeks ago...

If you check TG's website they often update any new places that have product. El Bait got a couple kegs in late May. I went on Saturday and they were already out of the Golden Nugget. The bar manager told me that they were getting more in either today or tomorrow. He told me it was his plan to carry it, but that it is all about supply, he said demand has been quite good. I'd go this week and you will likely be able to enjoy a pint.

El Bait carries, also check out Zombie burger. Gnug was on tap when I was down visiting a couple weekends ago.

I love El Bait Shop. My old man and I went there and when we stepped into the Highlife Lounge I'm pretty sure be had an acid flashback. It was great.

That place reminds me of my grandpa's basement. When he was alive it looked just like the High Life and had as much booze.

Just an update- Had a tasting party last night with several of my beer advocate friends who have not had any TG beers yet. All of my buddies were extremely impressed. Ms. Sue won best beer overall. I personally love naughty 90 especially as it warms up!

Here is the lineup and I sh*t you not:

1- Hill Farmstead Abner Imperial (97 on BA)
2-Hill Farmstead Edward (96 on BA)
    3-Odell Myrcenary (94 on BA)
    4- Surly Furious (96)
    5- 2 Hearted (95)
    6- Odell Ipa (95)
7- Crooked Tree (88 or 100 by the bros)

Sue (PseudoSue) was the winner- the nose, mouth-feel, taste, and finish is incredible. I put Sue on par with mr. zombie.....

More love for TG - I went down there two weeks ago and was impressed. I heard the hype, had high expectations, and still left impressed. The Citra Pale Ale (Psuedo Sue?) was every bit of Zombie Dust's equal, the Golden Nugget is a fantastic workhorse, everyday ipa, and I really enjoyed the unusual take of their oak-aged ipa. Much love and keep up the good work...

I stopped there just before 11 after a long day on the Root River bike trail...we drove an hour in the dark dodging deer and escaped cows but the flight was worth it.

I was down in Lanesboro late last summer doing some biking. I so wanted to make the drive to Decorah, so close, but didn't make it.

It's a good beer, but the statement it is ZD's equal is absurd.
