I moved to Kansas in January and since then I have sampled Tallgrass, which i have come to love, Boulevard(I know its the Missouri side of KC) of which I enjoy some and 23rd St brewery. Ive heard good things about Free State but havent been able to make it there. Does anyone have any suggestions of breweries in the area or anything in particular that I should checkout. Thanks in advance.
Free State should relatively easy to find in most Liquor stores unless you are in the sticks. Tons of great out of state options as well. I wish we had a similar selection here...
Wichita Brewing, River City, Hopping Gnome, Walnut River, Hank is Wiser. I'm missing another Wichita brewery but can't think of it right now.
Blind Tiger in Topeka has some good stuff on most weeks. IPAnema, Java Porter and Top Gun IPA are my favorite from them. Decent price too. I just got a keg of java porter from them for 60 bucks.
Kansas is a big state. What part do you live in? I would recommend a visit to Radius Brewing in Emporia!
