Sonic Foamer for Yeast Starter

    Reading BA issue 95 page 12 Innovations section. This is a giant coaster that holds a glass of beer while you don't drink it and pulses sound waves into it to keep the head fed with CO2. Wondering if this would work in making starters in place of a stirplate? Thoughts?

    Is that similar to ultrasonic cleaners?

    I have no idea if it would work, seems like it should, at least it would help break out the CO2. Would it help pick up O2?

    Regardless, the idea makes me smile for some reason. Cheers :slight_smile:

    Yeah, I thought the idea of a starter was keeping O2 in solution and secondly getting CO2 out. Doesn't sound like this coaster thing would do that. Got a link?
