I don't brew but thought this would be a good place to ask about this hop. All I ever hear on this is lemons, lemons, lemons. I just had a Fitger's single hop pale ale with this and damn it anyhow if I didn't get a real interesting coconut aroma and flavor and not much with lemons...more floral than lemons but definitely coconut....

Anyone brewed with this and found this dimension before. I loved the pale ale with it.

Lemon zest is a good descriptor, however if you go hog wild with it, you'll get a good deal of dill in addition to the lemon zest/lemon pledge aspect. I like it as an accent hop, used in moderation.

I don't have any Sorachis now, but my next brew, a highly carbonated Gumballesque Amarillo Wheatbeer will get blended with some Italian lemon Liqeuer in at least 1 pint and maybe 5 gals...depending on what it tastes like this time  .

I have heard coconut as well for beers with Sorachi Ace.

I used it solo once in a pale ale. About 1 oz in the boil (0.35 at 60, 0.22 at 30, 15, and 1 minute) and 0.8 oz dry hop. Very much a lemon bomb but also with a bit of lime in the aroma. No coconut for me on that beer.
