This. . . Although I am drooling looking over this list. Another "disappointment" would be Russian River, again. I really wish they would bring something other than their standard sours.

Steve_0 and DBD, you're missing the point:

    1. Perennial
    2. Crooked Stave everything
    3. Le Terroir

    ...and I'm good!

Definitely didn't miss those lol. . .thats why I am still drooling, BUT it would have been nice to see T25, perhaps? Definitely stoked for the CS Stuff, though, Le Terroir, Perrenial, and Cascade.

Yeah they changed it. NOLA is also no longer brewing Friek and The Meddler.

I do not often post but compelled to respond to this. You do realize that all of these breweries participating in Sour Fest donate all their kegs right? Every beer festival for that matter, including GABF. I think it is rather awesome and very generous of all these breweries to donate anything at all, especially beers of this caliber and cost. In addition these festivals are demanding on their time, travel expenses and cost of additional staffing for festivals throughout the year. I know many breweries that participate in 20-30 festivals a year. Craft Brewers operate on very thin margins, most are not profitable yet and have many investors they must satisfy as well. The community and generosity among Craft Brewers is like nothing I have seen in any other industry. Hopefully this is not too harsh. I am really addressing a number of past complaints from other threads that I think are missing some perspective. I love seeing the enthusiasm though. Personally, I am stoked at the lineup at Sour Fest. Can't Wait!

I appreciate the response and I am fully aware of these things, which is why I put "disappointment" in quotes. I am not really disappointed, I love Russian River Beers and my wife will probably live near their table. Just was looking to try something new from them, since it is very hard to get anything from such an amazing brewery, outside of their standard line-up that hits the state and even those are tough to come by these days. I didn't mean to come off selfish in anyway and I truly love festivals like these, which is why I attend year-in and year-out. There is plenty of stuff I haven't had on the list and many others I am glad to revisit, I was simply adding response to previous posts and joining in on the discussion. I am still very excited about the event/line-up and look forward to meeting up with old and new BAs. Cheers!

I'm pretty sure all of the money from Avery's festivals goes to local charities. At least I remember hearing that at some point. I for one think the list looks amazing.

A friend of mine has a Free rackhouse bus ticket up to and back from sour fest, believe it leaves Rackhouse at 10:30am. Would just need the name of the person to transfer the ticket.

That list looks a bit off.

The Meddler and Friek should be by Odell, not NOLA.

That Crooked Stave Waelz Blood sounds tasty.

Sorry about the little changeups in the lineup... we've been changing the Avery beers up until yesterday, but we wanted to get a list out to people a little early. So there were some inaccuracies. Like the NOLA/Odell mixup, which has since been fixed.

And the proceeds from this year's Sourfest are going to Kyra Hilden and her family. Nancy Avery (Larry's wife) is friends with the Hildens, and their young girl Kyra suffers from an undiagnosed immunodeficiency disorder. The medical bills have become pretty unwieldy.

The proceeds from all of our festivals go to different charities and/or worthy causes like Kyra.

    Rock on...
