I just heard about a big sour beer tasting happening at Gordon's in Waltham on 3/28. Has anyone seen a complete list of what beers they are pouring? I heard rumors about some rare West Coast and European stuff being there, can anyone confirm?
Sounds like fun, I just noticed this on the Gordon's website, That's right, our annual walk around tasting homage to lactic acid is quickly approaching and this year's festivity looks to be nothing less than groovy. Here is a semi-finalized list of beers at the event: Cantillon Mamouche Allagash Tiarna Goose Island Madame Rose Goose Island Lolita Evil Twin Justin Blaeber Night Shift Cape Codder Weisse Night Shift Ever Weisse Drie Fontienen Intense Red Tilquin Quetsche Alvinne Wild West Boon Mariage Parfait Girardin Oude Gueuze Bruery Sour in the Rye Freigeist Abraxxas Cisco Pedaler Cisco Full & By Rye Hof Ten Dormaal Zure Van Tildonk Rodenbach Grand Cru 2010 Alchemist Petit Mutant Jack’s Abby Berliner Braun Jack’s Abby Sour Time Lager Cascade The Vine Cascade Sang Noir Cascade Kriek ‘09 Trillium Wild Trillium Draft: Lost Abbey Red Poppy Plus some cellar selection surprises from our Beer Managers!
Can't wait. Went to their last big event the Black Beer Affair and had a great time. Cellar selections sounds enticing. Hooray Beer
Sweet! Cantillon, petit mutant, and trillium? I wonder if this will be even better than Extreme Beer Fest!
just a heads up...while there's a bit of lactic acid in it, wild trillium should be considered a 'wild farmhouse beer' that tends more toward the depth of wild fermentation character, definitely not an amped up acid bomb! just want to set expectations

I go every year and yes it's absolutely worth it. They have a few Cantillon they'll be popping and some other cool sours too. Plus there's some great food from Moody's Delicatessen and they also discount some of their beers.
Tell me that Red Poppy didn't replace the cubitainer of Girardin... We all need more boxed sours in our lives.
Based on what I'm seeing on the event's page, it appears that Girardin Oude Lambik is going to be the one on draft not Red Poppy. Red Poppy was last year IIRC
