I don't like sours, so therefore don't know a lot about them. I recently bought some RR consecration and supplication as extras in a trade. They were a little hard to find. I checked the dates on them, and one of them (consecration I believe) had 10 stamped. Nothing else. If it was from 2010, would it still be good? I took the one behind it because it was only a few months old. A lot of people love sours, so I'm wondering if I should go back and buy it. Thanks!

You'll be fine with either of them fresh or aged. Should say on the bottles something about aging well. Also, FYI, that 10 is probably a batch number of some sort. I would check, but I don't have my RR bottles on me right now.

The other RR bottles had actual dates. And it didn't look like other numbers rubbed off.

In general, sours are great for aging. I'm pretty sure 10 was probably a batch number and it is totally fine. They tend to just become more sour, which is often desirable for a sour lover.

russian river did batch numbers up until (i believe) last year's beatification release, at which point they switched to actual bottle dates.
