    From the newsletter:

Due to limited quantity and the speed with which reservations for our sour ales have been filling up, we are using a lottery system for the second blend of our Sour Reserve rather than the first-come-first-served reservation system we have used in the past, so we can see how this all works out.

From June 7th to June 14th, visit www.sourreserve2.eventbrite.com to place yourself in the lottery. You may only enter your information once, and you are eligible for only one bottle of Sour Reserve. (Please keep in mind, placing yourself in the lottery does not guarantee you a bottle.)

While entering the lottery, you will select a location to pick up your bottle (Bloomington Brew Pub or Indy Tasting Room) should you win.

On June 15th, an email will be sent to everyone who entered the lottery informing them as to whether or not they have won the opportunity to purchase a bottle.

If you receive an email saying that you have "won" the lottery, you need to come to the pickup location you selected and purchase your bottle between June 20th and July 3rd, where the bottle can be purchased for $25 plus tax.

Please let us know if you have any questions. We'll also have all this information posted on our blog. Good luck to each of you!

    Happy about this development

Wording would indicate that you physically have to be the one to pick it up, unlike lambic reservations. Anyone able to confirm this?

Needing a copy of your license is new to me. Maybe I'll just send my proxy a "lisence" written in crayon if I win.

This is how the Upland lambic pickups have worked in the past. Though truth be told, I haven't been lucky enough to score any the last couple go-rounds.

Thanks for the info!! It's gonna be a long shot, but gotta try. What do you all think the bottle count will be for the lottery? Probably 200-250, after the sour fest? Yikes!!

Got lucky and we will be in Indy the weekend of the 23rd so if I did happen to win I could actually pick it up. I'm not holding my breath though.

now if only folks'll be honorable and not stock the lottery with every friend and grandmother's name that wouldn't care about the bottle... it'll be interesting to see how this works out

Indiana BA's should unite and openly refuse to mule for out-of-staters on this one! (Unless it's for me or any of my extended family; it was my idea)

You know, if they would brew more, they wouldn't have to do this kind of crap.

I don't get why all of them just weren't released at the Funk Fest.
