Sour Suggestions in Houston area?

    Sooo.. my dad is going to be coming to visit from Houston this coming weekend and I'm trying to get him to bring some tasty texas treats! only problemo is that he's not a big beer drinker so i'm hoping for some suggestions on any tasty local sours/wilds/berliners or anything really outstanding from the houston community.

    Assuming you wouldn't be able to grab any top rated Jester King sours, I'd check out Texian Black Jesus. Probably the best dark sour I've ever had.

    Nice. I've had some Jester king, which has been mostly amazing, but never had that one before.

    If you are open to Berliner Weisse you have the following easily available
    Little Boss 12 packs from Blue Owl
    Yo Soy Un Berliner from Freetail
    Charlie Foxtrot from Texian
    Not sure if Hallo Ich Bin Berliner Weisse - Peach fro Mikkeller has made it to Florida, but it is great

    To find JK sours and see if they are available, and if it is at a store close to where your dad is staying, try out the Specs Online Site. I have had good luck finding beer there without traveling around town. When you pull up the beer and check availability, use 77006 as the zip, this is the downtown store, it will still show you almost every store in the state though.

    If your dad hasn't left town yet, tell him to pick up some Oddwood saisons. 750ml bottles available at D&Q, Spec's and other major retailers around town.

    Thanks for the suggestions y'all I will definately get some of these. Really appreciate all the response too!! I have a lot of love for my Texas folk! And loving seeing the beer scene out there explode the way it is.
