Ryan, you're going to make me blush. Now I have to screw someone over to raise my street cred.
Y'all do realize it's at 11am right? No need to bring a case of beer(brandon, looking at you!) lets go quality over quanitity(now looking at me. I always bring a shitty beer to a tasting)
fork you Zappa, if I want to bring a case of 5 percent ABV beers where I am only slightly perturbed because I barely have a buzz, then that is my issue, not yours.
how about some last years peruvian mornings and a few aged redband coffee stouts?
but I wanted to offer the complexity of a years worth of infection.
I haven't had any issues with this year batch, had probably 12-16 bottles so far. Have you?
The four pack I picked up right when it came out was great. I picked up another last Monday. I opened two and as Hank Hill would say, "That boy ain't right!"
Glad I drank my 28 fresh
If I don't have to work I'm in. Too bad it's not in a few monthes or I'd have some crooked stave. I think i still have a sour in the rye and some RR stuff though.
I might be interested. I'll contribute a bottle and let the wife taste stuff in my stead.
I'm in. I can bring Cascade Kriek.
Might actually make it to this one. I'll bring a BLVD Love Child #2 if no one else is, otherwise I've got some RR Sanctification. I've also got this bottle of 2008 Ommegang Biere De Mars... No idea how that one has held up, but if anyone would like to try that I'd be totally down to crack into it as well.
I am saving my love child #2 to share with someone, so I am not bringing that, I would gladly sip some of that. I am bringing a Jester King boxers revenge
What a romantic...
I'm bored and list-oriented... here's the potential line-up of offerings:
B1 LaRoja GR
B1 Le Bleu
Blvd Love Child #2
Jester King Boxers Revenge
Goose Island sister(s)
Rose de Gambrinus
La Roja 2011
Blue Sunday 2012
2007 Marriage Parfait Geuze
2011 Cuvee Rene
3F Oude Gueze
NG Sour Ale
Central Waters Exodus
Jester King Funk Metal
O'so Wee on the Lam
Sour in the Rye
2008 Ommegang Biere De Mars
Not sure if anyone is keeping a list of people who plan on attending but if so, I am not going to be able to make this. Bummed because it sounds like a good time. If it gets changed to Sunday I'm in though!
Fuck me, I can't make it.
I fully endorse folks doing this on their own, but I got roped into responsible adult shit instead of fun beer shit. Have fun folks!
I really wish it wasn't off of Lake St..then I would go
What's wrong with Lake St.?
technically it's off Lyndale
I mean, you have to walk two blocks to get free parking...what's the beef?
What??its Uptown im there all the time a great place with a great vibe
Sad news! Damn that responsibilty thing....
So is everything still good to go at Muddy Waters? We're not going to walk in there, bottles in hand, and be greeted by strange looks and obscene language, are we?
I'll be there! Looking forward to seeing some familiar faces and meeting some new BA's.
Everything should be cool. I was going to call and double check with them but we have had a number of bottle shares there before.
I am still down, I can take the reigns and be the "host" if need be.
Do it Ryan!
Again, sorry folks.
I have to work I just realized, somehow I thought this was next week. dammit! should we just reschedule for next saturday?
How about we first get a head count of who would still be coming?
Yea, is this still on?
Where is the free parking in Uptown? Been a few years since I have been in that area.
Streets off of Lyndale and Lake are free. Think the lot behind Lyndale Tap House is only 50 cents an hour or something cheap like that.
Still happening? Or postponed?
I'll be there.
And now I'm here. With no one knowing what I'm talking about.
Seems a lot of people forgot about this and with no clear plan, only a few of us showed. Met Ol_Johnny and a buddy of his, shared a couple of beers, ate some food, and shot the breeze. Enjoyed meeting you guys and hope to see you at other events.
*Important information*. Muddy Waters will no longer allow bottle shares/tastings at their establishment. The owner sat down with us and explained that the city of Minneapolis does not allow such things. Seems corkage only applies to wine and not to beer so these sort of private events will no longer be tolerated. Great guy and wished he was allowed to do such things, but it was out of his hands. He asked that we pass this message along.
Though I have not been to New Bohemia's Sunday night bottle share yet, how are they able to do that then...? Hopefully it's one of those things that "No one's got to know 'bout it."
That sucks. Wtf.
Why would they allow corkage on wine, but not beer? Makes no sense.
