San Diego has one of the highest concentrations of breweries in the country but besides Lost Abbey are there any other breweries that have more than one or two sours on tap at any given time in the the greater San Diego area?

Good question. I visited most of SD breweries and haven't found one that would meet your requirement.

No one, yet. I think all the sour programs are currently too small and/or young to really have anything to release in anything besides small amounts. We're definitely behind the curve, though I'm hopeful with Societe, Modern Times, and Ballast Point's Little Italy spot we should be getting a good amount relatively soon.

...or we need a Rare Barrel clone in here

Thanks for the info guys. Its good to hear I'm not missing out on anything. I guess I'll just have to wait anxiously until the current brewers release some sours ... or until that Rare Barrel clone pops up (fingers crossed).

Alpine has a couple Sours that they release from time to time (mostly at the pub) and Societe has released a couple sours recently (private events, not in bottles). If you expand to OC, Beachwood had a Berlienerweiss this summer that was very refreshing. And to discount Lost Abbey is like saying San Diego has a couple good Breweries, but not much else. Lost Abbey is making some of the top wild beers in the country. Just had the most recent Cuvee de Tomme and it is one of the top beers I have ever had.
