Oh, I don't know why I didn't see that post. Was probably a blur as I rushed to hit the reply button. I love Crooked Stave stuff. At least it's a good sign that we got some and that it's gone.

Yeah, I have seen a couple Crooked Stave bottles at TW on occasion. I recently picked up a few bottles of the Rodenbach Charactre Rouge and they were AWESOME!

I hope we start to see JK stuff down this way

So... Cantillon Classic 375's touched down at select Total Wines around South FL, and sold out the day of. Also Jester King is now making headway down here, though I didn't see any sours yet.

My brother in law lives in Texas, I need to send him on a JK hunt. Unfortunately he lives in a super small town with a not so great beer selection.

Riverside Market in Ft. Laudi just posted pics of JK beers they got in.

Correction: It is The Sybarite Pig in West Boca.

    Awesome place, amazing food.
It's Mad Meg though... which is ok, not amazing.

It's the worst beer from them that I've had. Still cool to see and seems promising for the future. The pig gets quite a few great beers actually. I'm amazed at some of the CC swag they get sometimes.

Yeah Cafe Americana...did not expect to get any of that around...my god it was the best beer from CCB I've had in my life....
Well...some of the BA stuff gives it a run, but, it's not a fair fight. BA Cafe would win.

I didn't have it there when they had it, but I agree, it's top 3 from CC. I do love that bar, but, honestly, I don't go too much. I work like 10 minutes from it. The problem? I also work 5 minutes from the Buddha lounge and that place has been really good to me over the years and they continue to be the best bar in South Florida, IMO. So it's hard for me to go anywhere else in this area. Plus, I mean, Sex Panther is on draft right now.

I believe MBCP is on tap tonight at 5pm per their Facebook

And maple bacon tonight. Wonder if it was made at the lounge or the brewery though. To be perfectly honest I was pretty disappointed in the MBCP bottle. It had that artificial quality like I remember from the Rogue Maple Bacon Voodoo Doughnut I had way back when.

Doesn't matter though, they have starfruit berliner on tonight too which is always amazing.

I thought the bottle was good, but the best batches of MBCP were the ones for the anniversary like 2 years ago or so that Kevin did, I think. And the lounge did that Citra Hop Gun too that was bonkers. In general, I tend to favor the small batch lounge stuff to the brewery ones. Even though I do love the brewery ones too.

MBCP was a great time.. Plenty of Maple syrup, Coffee roast, and a touch of bacon. Didn't feel phoned in like Rogue Voodoo.... Better than on draft substantially

IMHO They should be bottling Last Snow and No Crusts.

God willing, someone in charge respects your opinion because you are definitely right. I want THAT bottle release.

Last Snow is going to be done at some point soon. Obviously, Nib is next, though.

I'd trade NC and LS if they did bottles. There aren't many FB beers I wouldn't trade away, maybe Starfruit Berliner or Snack Attack (if they ever did it again). I've just lived and worked so close to the lounge, I'd rather trade them for stuff I've never had.

Yeah, I think comparison to Voodoo is a little unfair. I thought this MBCP was very good and one of the most balanced they've done. You got a little of everything.

I wish three and a half hours wasn't so...three and a half hours. I'd be down there ALL. THE. TIME. And yeah, I do a nice little combo of hoard a bellyful of draft and then trade the bottles. That seems to work well. (Generally I'm good with trading them off once I've gotten to try a beer. Not a lot I'd hoard if I'd had plenty of it. But LS and NC, I'd hoard those bottles even if they were on draft in my own house.)

Voodoo doesn't belong in the same conversation as Buddha unless it's to say "F*** Voodoo."

    Oh right, sours..........as you were.

Just got back from Total Boca. They have JK Black Metal and Meg. It's not much, but at least Black Metal is better than Meg. Going to drink it later and listen to some Borknagar.

Also, oddly enough, I mentioned in this thread about the best sour down here being Drie Fonteinen and they had the Kriek behind the counter today. So, I'd definitely say if you want an awesome sour in Florida, get to Total ASAP before they're gone.
