I was curious if there are any good breweries/brewpubs to hit up in SB?? I and headed to SE Michigan next weekend and I was planning on stopping at FFF but I fear that their beer sales still will not be up to full strength(ZD available) so I was going to bypass Munster and just stop in South Bend(if there is somewhere worth stopping) any help would be appreciated.
Hands down the best place in the area is Bare Hands Brewery in Granger. It is a bit off the beaten path, so make sure to plug the address into your GPS. Iechyd Da in nearby Elkhart is also making good beer and they have a far larger (and better) food selection than does Bare Hands. If your focus is solely on the beer, Bare Hands is the winner; if you're looking for an overall pub experience, Iechyd Da is the way to go.
I need to make it up to Bare Hands sometime. The stuff I had from them at Winterfest was great, especially the Thai PA. Speaking of Bare Hands, seems like they never update their website.
Damn Bare hands looks great!!!! Im not sure if I will be able to stop there as my plan is be driving thru SB, Granger area around 2pm and they do not open till 4pm so maybe on the way home... I did notice Iechyd Da when I did a quick google search so Im thinking that might be the place to stop thanks for all the input Publius
Def try Bare Hands they're always putting new beers on tap. I hear the food at Lechyd da is pretty good and their beers are too. If you want a pub w good food and brews check Fiddlers Hearth downtown
