I visited a restaurant/brewpub in the South Bend, but I believe closer to the Mishawaka, area sometime around 2006 - 2008. I had a meeting at Notre Dame and the only thing I can remember was I went over/along a river to get there, it had pool tables, was more of a restaurant than brewery and was really smokey inside (ahhh, the good old days of not being able to smell you beer). It was the only option in the area at that time.

Thanks for any help if someone knows about the place.

If you're remembering a place in a strip mall, @emerge077 has it right, Mishawaka Brewing.

Could have been Four Horsemen? They definitely had a pool table in there.

@YoungLad I read the article about them closing and says they were in business 2011 - 2013 and my visit was prior to then. Thanks for the suggestion though.

Thank you @emerge077 and @PapaGoose03 I didn't think I went all the way to Elkhart but this may be it. Maybe thrown off that it was Mishawaka Brewing but in a different city. 820 brewery visits will do stuff like this to you. Thanks!

My memory of the place was right, but the name was wrong. The original Mishawaka Brewing Company was in the building currently occupied by Evil Czech, and they were definitely open during the time frame you were there. Here's a link to an article I found:
